A great club with 8 courts with online booking. Volunteer-run and everyone is very friendly. Lots of programs for adults and juniors at highly-subsidized prices.

With little bit of feedback from a tennis friend who recommended Milton Tennis, I enrolled as a member for the 2017 season looking forward to enjoyable new friendships, new tennis partners, camaraderie etc. Unfortunately, my fond dreams of a new season with a new environment was bleak having suffered a back injury just weeks after enrollment. Being a sporting guy not one to give up, I went to my doctor for assessment and he advised me 'just to lay low for just one season' if I have to go on keeping up an active life going forwards. Accordingly I requested MTC if they could refund me my meagre contribution of $65 and THEY HAVE TURNED ME DOWN RIGHTAWAY WITHOUT EVEN ATTEMPTING TO CALL OR to discuss my predicament. If this is just a starter indication of the 'mindset of the MTC powers that be' I would rate this club as a zero ' for not having any empathy or understanding of a potential members real situation.

I hope this is read and taken seriously. This is not a review of the Milton Tennis Club, but rather Ace Tennis Camps which operate out of the MTC in the summer months. The tennis club is decent and deserves recognition as well-run operation. That being said, Ace Tennis Camps are disorganized and worthy of this 1-star review. I had two daughters this summer in Ace Tennis Camps. Being a former camp supervisor and counsellor, I was shocked by the lax attitude and lack of attendance taking at both drop off and pick up. The main guy running it (Mike) seemed nice enough, but his right-hand assitant (her name escapes me) would day things to the 5 year-olds like "I don't care" and "stop complaining". She evidently didn't enjoy her job and was in a rotten mood each day. I told them they should put Mike with the younger kids to foster their love of the game, but they left her with the younger group all week. Moreover, while the kids were eating lunch behind the baseline, the junior leaders decided to rally and work on their serves one day. I watched one camper get hit in the head with a junior leader serve, and then I couldn't believe my eyes, when instead of stopping, the leaders kept rallying and hit another girl in the head while she was eating. At that point I yelled at them from the overlooking railing that they should smarten up and that their number one priority should be camper safety, not just improving their own skills. So yeah, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and organization that this camp displayed. It's a shame because MTC is a good organization, and they should think twice about inviting Ace Tennis back to run their programs. (Last sidenote: my 8 year-old told me that the camp forgot a kid at the playground one day and didn't realize until they were back at the courts. I didn't witness this, but it didn't surprise me in the least.

So I go there all the time...but I never go inside. They have a poke gym there and 2 more in the parking lot. It's like the best spot to catch lots of pokemon and go for a walk.

The summer club is amazing and the Manager is the best, he genuinely cares about the members and knows what he's doing, this review is about the winter club. They have five courts in the bubble and they have more than 500 members in the club, 70% of the courts per week are already booked for coaching and other club events which mostly occur during the prime time which is from 5pm - 9pm (if you don't believe me look at the winter club's booking schedule for Wednesday lol) so you compete with atleast 400 members to book the left over 30% or less courts and since most of them are working during the day they can only play after 5pm so the competition for courts gets even more intense. You pay for a membership which is quite a hefty price and get to play once or twice a week (if you are lucky). There are plenty of other clubs which offer a cheaper price and which have more courts available. The Manager Mat is a really nice guy, he works hard and is one of the reasons people enjoy spending time at the club(when they are lucky enough to get a court or pay extra for a club event) but there is only so much he can do to help this situation. The summer club on the other hand deserves 5 stars it is the best but sadly the I'm hearing news that the Manager is going to leave and things are not looking good

I played an OTA tournament at Milton recently and received by far the most negative experience ever via both the tournament organization as well as the club management. I expect all areas of the club management to be accountable to its users and what I encountered was incompetence and a lack of initiative to improve the experience. Saturday matches were already running 2 hours late and my round of matches (not the last of the day) had to start past 9pm instead of 7:45pm. Some started even later. With the messaging being that competitors need to arrive well before posted start times, for many there was simply no way to eat a meal, while needing to sit around and wait. I ended the day leaving close to midnight and arriving home for dinner past 1am. I believe some matches went dark before they could finish, meaning that some players had to play 3 matches within a handful of hours the next day. All this kerfuffle occurred due to mismanagement from ACE as well as an inability for the club's management to find mitigating factors that didn't impact a member's booking experience. Several alternative measures could be been made to right the ship of the tournament, but was met by a obdurate and resounding "NO, the board wouldn't have it!" from MTC's club manager, Matt Flood. The man is a brick wall with no interest to genuinely take feedback which made me leave with a higher level of distaste for the venue. He instead loves to talk back in the most apathetic manner. As a board member of a different club, I felt compelled to ask for his full name so that I can avoid hiring incompetent managers in the future. I have withdrawn all future tournament registrations at the Milton Tennis Club and will not play there again. On the flip side, the courts are very new => more than 1 star
