โ โ โ โ โ This afternoon is the first time for me to buy a few bags of river rock and then a few stone tablets as stepping stones. Although I have read the previous comments. The staff at the counter are very friendly, and the staff who help to move the stones also carefully put stepping stones into my car with a good price, It was a very pleasant shopping experience

โ โ โ โ โ The loading staff only help you if you tip and that's very frustrating.
After payment made for my order, I went to the stone section of my order and wait there for the staff for help. One very tall bulky black guy was helping two ladies loading the bricks, so I waited until they were done. The tall guy turned his back to me right away even he saw me waiting. I said "excuse me?" He said " I'm busy, u go look for someone else!" in a very rude manner while walking away from me freely without turning his face to me to speak. Not to mention I saw that lady put the tip to his hands after he loaded the bricks into the trunk.
The instruction at the Pay office is " Wait for the loading staff to help". It didn't say tip is mandatory. Gosh, I don't like this kind of under table game and I would definitely go somewhere else for my gardening landscape in future, for sure.
My stars are only for the service at pay office and we eventually put the gloves on and load the bricks one by one ourselves.

โ โ โ โ โ Been there several times and every time was a positive experience. The cashier was helpful giving suggestions as well.
The workers outside were quite eager to help (surprisingly). The most recent time, the "employee of the month" (he says so himself, jokingly) even brought over his few other coworkers to help us to load stuff in our cars.

Good collection of stones, soil, fertilizer, pebbles and other landscaping supplies.
I did by backyard landscaping, including patio, all by myself and all supplies were from Milliken Farms.
They are also very swift with order modifications and returns.
Couple of comments -
Understaffed: They are seriously understaffed. Expect to wait for at least half an hour on cash counter and similar for the loading staff to get your purchases on truck.
Stone cutting: They have one of the best stone cutting equipment in neighbourhood, but it may not be functional (broken down or operator unavailability). Strongly suggest that you call (be prepared to call 5-7 times to have your call answered) and confirm before heading there for your cutting needs.

โ โ โ โ โ I was looking all over the city for a bag of pea gravel for a reasonable price.
Well, did I ever hit a gold mine in Markham at the northwest corner of Steeleโs Ave and Kennedy Rd.
A 30kg bag of pea gravel for $6.99 plus taxes is a great deal.
Pay for your purchase under the โwhite tentโ and take the receipt out to several staff waiting near the piles of inventory. They will gladly load what you bought in your vehicle.
