Fantastic! Last year I had a really terrible experience with firewood delivery. The guy was a psycho. So this year I tried a different place: East End Garden Centre. They were very pleasant on the phone when I placed my order and everything went great. I even splurged this year and paid a bit extra to get the wood stacked. The delivery guys were super pleasant and did a fantastic job stacking--much better than I ever have. And the quality of the wood looks great. East End Garden Centre is definitely going to be my go-to place from now on. Thanks! 2021 Update The East End Garden Centre is always reliable. I’ve had firewood delivered for years now. And the quality of the firewood is first rate. I’m disappointed, though, for the first time regarding the fee to stack the wood on my front porch. It’s always been a $50 fee. That’s what I was quoted when I ordered this year’s wood. But I was charged $100. When I telephoned about this the staff member said β€œYes, $50 to stack.” β€œSo why was I charged $100?” I asked. The manager came on the phone and told me that the East End Garden Centre has doubled the amount of the stacking fee. But not only did they not tell me, they twice quoted the old $50 feeβ€”when I called to make the order and when I called to ask about the change. She said that the staff would be told to quote the new, doubled fee. Not good.

The selection at this local gem are great. Anything for small balconies to huge lots. They have it all. Everyone who works there has great knowledge and bad attitudes. No joke. But, hey, there's something refreshing about a bunch of knowledgeable grumps.

Great customer service- very helpful. Big selection of plants, considering the size of the shop. All the plants look really healthy. Reasonably priced.

I have decided not to return to this store. I'm an avid gardener and living just up the street from this place have given them some business. I do get the owner can be a bit hard to deal with so I just keep out of her way but the employees are mostly wonderful. Sometimes I do ask questions and take my time. Today I was waiting for my turn to get inside the store, the owner asked me "you want to come inside to just look or you plan to buy?"....really! I didn't see her ask this of anyone else, I felt a bit discriminated...maybe this place is only for white ladies carrying Starbucks coffee. Goodluck!

Absolutely love it! Easily the best gardening centre I know of in downtown Toronto. I've bought numerous healthy pepper and tomato plants from here. Have also bought a good variety of herbs (basil, coriander, oregano, etc). They also have bags of soil, and most other gardening wants and needs. Great place all around!

It was my first time at this garden Centre. It had been recommended by my sister. My son had a good experience calling ahead to find out whether or not they had bags of gravel. Misleading signage by the bags of gravel exhorts buyers to pay for the bags prior to loading up on the dollies. Went inside to pay for a bag and was told to load up first and get the girl outside to give me a ticket. Then I was supposed to go inside to pay. Posting so that others don't have to go through the same process. I'm guessing that staff were overwhelmed because it was Saturday. It would probably best to go during the week next time. My son was able to get some nice plants for his balcony garden, and he was very pleased.

I've always loved coming here even as a kid. They've always been super nice and helpful. It's a family owned business and they do very well. Even as an adult I get excited coming here.

We have a love/not love relationship with this place. We love that it is local, seemingly run by women. The selection is okay, prices are excellent. However, customer service is challenging And everyone smokes, which can really break you from your flower trance when you get smacked in the face with tobacco smoke as you come or go. This place sees a lot of traffic and some Of the plants get trampled.
