Whilst nice to see the wards amalgamating, they sure didn't come together over this view. It was a nice turnaround point to check the airport out again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful vista, and a nice spot for a summer picnic. Gorgeous view of the fall colours. Has plaques with factoids about the original British and Quaker settlements in the area. Downsides: no trash cans or toilets.

But it would be much better if they actually tried to trim the tress so you could look across at the town ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The observatory is located on a hill overlooking the city of Picton. The moment when you can hear the bells ringing from the town church announcing the time is a wonderful moment. This is a wonderful place that will give you a sense of peace from the daily grind. This is a place you should stop by on your road trip.
