This is a tiny location to visit, but it has a great cafe with a view, and one or two nice old buildings to photograph. The cafe patio has a view overlooking the river below: quite a panorama...probably makes it worth a quick stop. There are a few historic plaques to read nearby.

Nice historical trail in the heart of Picton. Lovely fall colors. Be sure to check out Bird House City!

Beautiful trails. Maps a bit confusing but other than that it was a tremendous experience. Wish we had had time to go for longer walks and experience more of the park.

Bad winter i know but... Much of the trail is blocked by fallen trees which have not been cared for. More old dead trees than anything else. Unable to even locate more than three markers on the memorial walk. Benches are scraggy and in need of repair or even paint. Trail is one of the nicer ones in the county and i don't understand why it isn't taken care of properly. Maybe because most of the county residents who remember it's meaning to county people aren't on council and council only seems interested in tax revenue from as many ridiculously over priced homes they can shove onto our island until it sinks.... Saddened

This is such a beautiful place, right outside of Picton. Probably the best forest/conservation area in Prince Edward County. Scattered along Macaulay mountain are very nice mountain biking trails! There is also a nice pond here that people can skate on in the winter. There are also lots of picnic tables around. Overall a fantastic place to go on walks, hike, MTB, or just have a picnic. Lots of bugs so make sure to bring bug spray in the spring and summer

Went for a hike here. Super pretty. I’m not sure which trail I did, but I don’t think it was marked. Sorry, I went with friends who know the trails. It was gorg. Terrain was moderate with inclines and declines that were a little sketch with the ice. Kid wasn’t afraid, but was sliding around. Dog loved it. Great winter hike. Will go back.

This was such a beautiful place with several trails to hike. The main trail took us about an hour and a half to complete and it was fairly easy. You do have to watch out for a steep hill you need to go up at the beginning but after that, you’ll come across such beautiful forests. Parking is $5 paid online and when we went, there weren’t that many people. Perfect place to go on a peaceful hike.

Very scenic and enjoyable ! The Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area sports around 20 square acres of forest and trail. Its very easy to navigate as there is a clear path through it. There are several "resting spots" with benches . Strongly recommend a visit, and its right beside town!
