Took my truck in to plug a tire that was leaking because of an object stuck in it. Tire was repaired but not properly and should not have been repaired as it was a large slice. Almost made it home when the tire went instantly flat and damaged my rim on my new truck obviously not happy. Took damaged rim amd tire to dealership and all of them were in awe that someone actually attempted to repair something that was clearly unsafe. Thanks midas for the great job!

We were in a bad spot and went there for a tire puncture and we were in a hurry. We went there and told them our situation. They simply rejected me and said we can not do it. Go to another shop. Telhey told me no reason whatsoever just told us to leave. They were very mean in there attitude not accommodating whatsoever. Very bad

When in for a simple synethic oil change, asked what type of oil they would be using for the Volvo. Brian stated, "Huntsville doesn't even stock that type of oil in this town." Then proceeded to angrily argue that point, until I told him plainly, I googled Huntsville Canadian Tire, which was just down the street, where they had plenty in stock. Brian's aggressive demeanor to a simple question ( pandemic or not) was to the point, where I stated, I am not arguing with you, just let me pay my bill. I went to check the oil, we had to top it up and replace the battery cover which was left laying in the engine. This whole experience left many questions about their service, did they even use synthetic to the specifications required for the car? Was the oil filter replaced properly? We brought it to another mechanic who specializes in finer cars. Shame shame shame Huntsville Midas. Run far away from this service center don't walk.

The starter motor in our 2012 Kia Sedona van quit while we were up in Algonquin Park. As we were staying at a hotel in Huntsville I called around and contacted Brian At the local Midas shop and told him that I needed a replacement starter (I'm a licenced mechanic and was confident in my diagnosis). He quoted a reasonable price for the part and labour so I had CAA tow the van to his shop. The next morning he called me to say that they had replaced the starter but the van would still not start because the engine was seized. He went on to say that they had removed the replacement starter after diagnosing the seized engine and had left the original starter on the floor in the van. I paid the bill for their labour ($149.73), had the van towed back to my home near Oshawa (thank goodness for CAA!) and bench tested the old starter which, as expected, did not work. I also checked the engine and discovered that it was NOT seized. While searching online for a replacement starter I discovered that there are two different starters for that vehicle (and several other 2012 Kia and Hyundai models). While the two starters look identical at first glance, the gearing is different between the two. I checked the part # of the starter that Midas had installed in my van (it was on the invoice) and realized that they had installed the wrong starter then misdiagnosed the seized engine after the van would still not turn over. I ordered and installed the correct starter after which the van started and ran fine. So here's why I'm writing this negative review. I called Brian at the Midas shop and explained to him what had happened (as described above) and that I was calling him as a professional courtesy so as to prevent him from misdiagnosing someone else's vehicle in the same way. I did not ask him for my money back. He didn't want to hear it. He became defensive and told me that "they just order the parts and put them in" He would not acknowledge the fact that they had misdiagnosed my vehicle to the tune of a several thousand dollar repair so I said goodbye and hung up. Obviously would not recommend!

When purchasing a service that included a tire rotation, they didn't allow putting the winters on, despite the wheels already coming off for the rotation. I had the winters ready to go, but they wanted an extra $60 bucks for little to no extra effort.

Our old mechanic retired, leaving us without a trusted place for repairs on our old used cars. I finally had work done at a shop where I felt we were treated fairly and charged appropriately. Brain and his team are amazing. Ya 5 Stars....

Went in for seasonal tire change and oil change appointment. I was told that my 3 winter tires are worn out and they can't install it (I had it installed at other place and they said it's in good shape still). However, I understand Midas didn't wanted to take liability, no problem. But he recommended me to get the tire alignment for that little wear in the middle of my winter tires (wear was probably caused by over inflating the tires). Clearly, he didn't knew this basic thing. Anyways, when I went to pick up my car and pay for oil change the cashier completed got upset about the fact that I had a coupon which clearly was still valid untill December 31st. He took it but was so rude and unhappy about it saying that it has been taken off website, bla bla. I think that was so un-professional. Also, I see another coupon for this location for December so I am not sure what he meant.
