β β β β β If you want to get the job done right and in timely manner please keep on looking and find another company. Lack of organization and internal communication, disrespectful towards clients, this company from the one that people used to rely on and recommend had turned into a circus. If I could allow myself to sound any meaner I would. They will never get my business again and won't recommend Mid Island towing to anyone.

β β β β β Wow! I've never had such great service with a tow truck driver before. Thank you Wyatt! Our van's tire blew up on the highway and without a spare, we called BCAA. They sent over Mid Island Towing. Wyatt came within a matter of minutes and was super helpful and friendly. He even gave us some useful mechanical advice! Thank you!

β β β β β This company is absolutely disorganized and unreliable. Okβd us for a complex job involving us booking ahead a lot of other businesses for a particular time only to send us a driver the day of that had absolutely no clue what was going on, was not ready for the job and refused to do it. And they reassured us a few days before that they will do the job, with extra cost for complexity! After we called the office trying to figure things out and been told we will be called back ASAP they decided to ghost on us and never phoned back. Way to go Mid Island Towing!

β β β β β I locked my car fobs in my Nissan and called these guys and within 20 minutes someone came to my home and unlocked my car!! The guy who came literally opened my door within a minute! Great service you guys, thanks for coming out on a Sunday morning! Much appreciated.

β β β β β They may have started out as a good honest company, but money can change people. They are SCAMMERS!! I have spent thousands of dollars with Mid-Island Towing over the years, never have complained because it was obviously my fault. But the last dealings I had with them I felt robbed and also lied too! Now a legit, honest business should be upfront about all the details o9f the vehicle they have impounded but this time they never mentioned anything , which was very important details , like NO KEY FOR A BMW, they took $800 then mentioned it afterwards. I had got just enough money together to pay for the $800 plus 2 day insurance permit to get it home. Now I told MID-ISLAND I don't understand why there wouldn't be a key with the vehicle? And informed them I had to come up with $600 more now to get a key programming done and ordered. On top of tat $25 storage fee per day adding up as i waited to get the $ then order key. I even calked to check in and whoever I talked to over the phone, and I quote, "Don't worry we know it's not abandoned due to the fact I had already paid $800", that was the reason for my call to let them know i want it back but i have to ge3t this key which may take a bit of time. I then reads in the paper 2 weeks later they are taking ownership unless someone claims this ABANDONED 2007 BMW 323i. I received no mail to my address which they had ,no email , and no phone call. And of course I lost it.

β β β β β I wish I could remember the name of the kind man who assisted me, but I am so appreciative of his help. 2 days before Christmas, to my horror, I was the person whose car wouldn't budge when the ferry was unloading. To top it off - it was my aunt's vehicle and the panic was setting in.
Between the wonderful BC Ferries crew pushing me off and assuring me that it was a common occurrence, and the efficient and helpful experience Mid Island provided (via BCAA), a stressful night was made 100x better.
In the end, due to the assistance and kindness courtesy of the gentleman from Mid Island Towing, I was actually able to drive the vehicle home as opposed needing it towed. I either got too comfortable on the ferry, or my cat got too adventurous, and knocked the 4WD shifter out of place, but either way, his effort to take a second look before simply towing it away saved us a lot of money, stress, and time. This was a happy Christmas miracle for my family, as most mechanics were closed for the holidays.

I used them twice in 1 day.
Due to a real bad garage in town.
But these guys were great.
I had the same driver both times.
He was top notch and very thorough and carfull.
Sorry bud.

I would refer mid island to whomever asks me.

β β β β β Nothing like your work vehicle dying while in line for the Ferry, regardless despite all the stress surrounding that situation Mid-Island came to the rescue, dropped my wife off at the Car rental place, stored my vehicle inside overnight (because the windows couldnβt be put up) then took it to the dealership at the crack of dawn the next day so I could get back on the road right away! The level of professionalism and courtesy demonstrated by the entire staff was unprecedented and off the charts! I cannot say enough kind things about the entire crew at Mid Island Towing, it was a wonderful experience considering the trauma of being stranded in Nanaimo suddenly and then having these guardian angels swoop in and assist us! Wow!
Fantastic experience, I highly recommend Mid Island Towing to anyone who needs assistance!
