I love the photos she took for my website so much, and if I was pregnant or newly postpartum I would book sessions in advance to make sure those special moments were captured by her—absolutely beautiful photography by a soulful woman we’re lucky to have here in the Cowichan Valley!

Most importantly though, she is also is an amazing photographer! I'm fairly uncomfortable in front of a camera, but my maternity photos were stunning. Michelle gave gentle direction throughout the session for flattering body positioning and movements. I felt so comfortable! I was also impressed with how Michelle interacted with our 6 month old son during his photos. She was somehow able to balance all the technicality of taking amazing photos while shaking toys and coaxing out smiles, as well as staying attentive to making sure he wasn't going to topple over. That's no small feat! Michelle is amazing!

As someone who is not super comfortable in front of the camera, she has a way of making her clients feel right at home in her incredibly cozy studio. I had my newborn photos taken in July during the Covid pandemic and felt completely confident and safe brining my new baby in for our photo session because of all the cleaning and precautions she takes between clients. I couldn’t recommend her more!

She gave some clothing suggestions that would look great on camera, and make our family look like a cohesive unit. The photoshoot was fun and comfortable. It didn't feel rushed, or too long. She gave good directions so that we weren't just standing around, unsure of how to pose. The location that Michelle suggested was perfect. The Gary Oaks made for a beautiful background! 10/10 Definitely recommend!
