Michele is a wonderful interior designer that took us every step of the way through our condo makeover. At the personal level, we found her to be upbeat, full of ideas, flexible, reliable and punctual. Obviously, a pleasure to work with. Our project started with a discussion with Michele about the things we would be looking for in our makeover. From there, Michele produced design concepts for each room which we discussed with her and then she modified as appropriate. She then put together plans to take to our strata council to request their approval. The Council proved difficult to deal with but Michele persevered and used her experience and charm to get the plans approved. At the planning stage, we were impressed that Michele not only made sure that furnishings would fit with proper traffic flow but also that any unused space would find a creative use. As the work went ahead, Michele used her experience and contacts to source all the suppliers and tradesmen needed for the job. She introduced us to a general contractor as well as many others including cabinet maker, counter top maker, tile setter, glass company and painter. She was in frequent contact with the general contractor to ensure that the right tradespeople would be available when needed. She was there as the work proceeded ensuring that it was moving ahead, met quality standards and was in accordance with the planning. She was also of huge assistance in sourcing materials, plumbing and lighting fixtures and furniture. For things like tiles and paint, she brought us samples to look at and for other items her approach was to provide us with alternative web links that we could view online. She had a great eye for value in all of her sourcing work. At the conclusion of the work, Michele was there to attend to all the finishing details. She identified deficiencies in the work that needed to be fixed, she assisted in placing furniture and area carpets and she even suggested locations for and hung our artwork. So from start to finish, we were more than happy with everything Michele did for us. She took us through the project from start to finish and we are very pleased with the result. Highly recommended!

We can’t thank Michele enough for her design inspirations! We engaged Michele to help us choose new flooring for the main floor of our home. The floor needed to work well in the more formal living and dining areas, as well as in the kitchen and family room. Michele gave us expert advice and instilled the confidence we needed to come to a decision. We are so happy with the look and feel of our new floor! After getting to know Michele we realized immediately she was the right person to help us with our other design questions. We asked for advice about updating our furnishings, hanging artwork and improving the lighting in our kitchen. Michele’s knowledge and guidance has been excellent in those areas as well. We greatly appreciated the effort Michele made providing us with suggestions and examples, and sourcing furnishings for us, as well as introducing us to a contractor to address our kitchen lighting needs. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Michele and are looking forward to an ongoing relationship. We will call Michele whenever we have design questions. We went through a major renovation and together with Michele, we visioned what our new space would look like. We wanted to incorporate our own culture and heritage and she was very open to it and had so many ideas. What I appreciate is that Michele would take time to listen and then provide ideas and collectively, we worked towards the final renovations. She is a great source of design knowledge and ideas. She is also open to suggestions and even if we suggest, it is not to say no, but rather , have you thought of this.

Michele of Miccaro Designs is an inspiration and excellent resource to draw on for any interior design project, big or small! We hired Michele to assist us with our North Vancouver condo refresh. Our 800 square fit space needed a lift and we wanted to do the sourcing ourselves, and we also wanted to learn from the experience of working with a professional designer. Michele was fantastic! She is a professional with years of experience and the passion that comes from a lifetime of doing something you love. She is generous in her knowledge and resource sharing, timely, flexible and has an impeccable reputation with her suppliers who we used - painters, backsplash, bathroom vanity and IKEA experts. Her process, advice and guidance were tailored to our needs and tastes, and infused with her wisdom and talent. Michele helped me with my bathroom renovation and was a pleasure to work with. My home is very old and has a lot of odd angles which makes renovations challenging. Michele drew plans to maximize space and assisted with reviewing materials. I could not be happier with the end result.

Michele is a marriage saver and a miracle worker. We were forced into redecorating after a fire in our apartment building. Michele took what was, for us, an overwhelming task and guided us through so many decisions. She could always explain what would work, what wouldn't, and why. Even when we were at odds about something as simple as, which artwork should go where, we learnt to let Michele decide because she saw what we didn't. Our apartment has come together so well. Our friends say that it looks like it should be in a magazine - not because it is high gloss but because it is well curated, warm and cosy, and because it uniquely reflects who we are. We love being in our home and, quite simply, it would be what it is without Michele.

Michele, owner of Miccaro Designs, has helped us out on numerous projects around our home over many years. We affectionately call her the BOSS as she is able to help my wife and I to reach a consensus with the various aspects of our projects. Without her we would be in a stale mate. With her guidance our projects have ended up great. So when a new project pops up she is the one we go to. We have recommended her to family and friends who have also been pleased with her guidance and recommendations.

Michele is very easy to work with. She is friendly, professional, responsive, and has a wealth of interior design knowledge. Michele took time to listen to all my ideas, then helped me make a plan for updating my condo that could be done gradually over time. She recommended vendors and was always willing to provide input before I made a final decision on a product. I had a difficult time finding a tiler for a small job and Michele was able to help through her contacts. I appreciate that Michele takes time to ensure that the design ideas reflect my style and tastes. Michele works within whatever budget you have. She knows where it is worth spending money versus where to go with something that costs less but looks great. I was very overwhelmed with where to start when it came to updating my condo and having Michele to turn to has made it a far less daunting adventure. I highly recommend Michele at Miccaro Designs!
