We have had a very poor experience with Metropolitan's Kentwood line in Calgary. We have supplied and installed almost 2,000 SF throughout a main floor and upper floor and are experiencing the product's finish chipping and flaking off from day one. The experience in Calgary has been exceptionally low and customer service from Jamie Newman (store manager) has been very poor, reaching new levels of uncompromising terrible customer service. We have replaced over 80 boards of finish flaking off and have been denied any financial assistance. Jamie's smug attitude at his first and only appearance was that this isn't their problem and likely has something to do with the builder. We have reached out to an independent hardwood inspector, whom have concluded the finish is defective and gone to the extent of sending the wood down to an independent laboratory for testing, the results have come back that the adhesion of coating films came back as a 2B rated floor. A floor tested top rating finish would be 5B. 2 years into this problem based on our experience with kentwood/metropolitan and their complete lack of attempt to show interest in addressing our concerns and issues I cannot recommend their products. Further our experience with Jamie Newman was at best aggressive and hostile. I would definitely stay clear of him and if you do encounter an issue, which I hope you don't, you're experience with kentwood to stand by its product is better than ours. It is not reasonable to expect the finish to "flake off the boards and be told it's our issue.

Just finished having an Evoke vinyl composite floor installed in the lower floor of our summer home. Super happy with not only the quality of the material but the look and feel as well. The installer showed me how solid the locking feature is and I was impressed. The floor laid down very nicely and is very stable The vinyl product is perfect for our home, warm underfoot and durable enough to handle the dirt and sand that it's going to be subject to. While the look lends itself to the Beach House feel perfectly. Big thumbs up to this flooring.
