Great place to shop. They have all sorts of food selection for the foodie to the specialty need. Average priced with great deals. I say stop by the deli and pick up a meal to go, then stop at the bakery and treat yourself to some desert. The cakes are great.

Metro is trying to keep people safe by masks, and keeping things sanitized.I see there is someone who was upset because he couldn't put his groceries on the belt while there was another person's groceries still on there. This is because the metro cashier's clean the belt after each person goes through.Wake up people.

Went to Huntsville for my birthday last weekend. Rented an AirBnB for the weekend, so we went into town to pick up groceries. Went to Metro on November 14th at about 5pm, and the store was not busy. We grabbed one of the small hand held baskets and went about our shopping. The store was nice. When we went to check out, there were two cashiers working. We picked the least busy one having only one person ahead of us, and she was half way through. That is, she had most of her groceries through check out. The convayor belt had a few groceries on it. About 2 feet of the conveyor belt had a few of her items on it. The rest of the conveyor belt was empty. I'd say about 3 feet empty at our end. Clearly, it was obvious where her groceries ended. I began to put my groceries on the conveyor belt leaving a HUGE amount of space so as to be crystal clear about the separation between her groceries and our. A space of about 2 feet. The cashier...who clearly has some major issues...actually raised her voice in anger and told me to wait until the other order was done. I was pretty amazed at how rude she was. Okay, I'm a big boy. But back in the old days there were dividing sticks at the register that customers could use to separate their order from the one ahead on the belt, and you could get as close to the other order with yours and it would be clearly separate. But, Metro didn't have any, and stupid me, I thought a 2 foot space would be clear. But, I guess cashiers these days aren't quite as discerning as they were back in the day. A word for the little snotbag cashier: Realize, sweetheart, that the customers who come in to shop not only line the owner pocket, but they pay your wales. If you hate your job that much, maybe you should quit.

Never really have to wait for self check out. Prices are fair. Produce is fresh. Beer selection could be better but it's pretty good.
