β β β β β If you want a Amature Venue, with dated equipment and staff who are under paid, and under valued...
Would recommend Oak Bay High school Theatre over this Venue, Gear is Newer rent Cheaper, Supports Young Techs who are Mentored by Professional Technicians and Designers. Ive worked in both venues and I would rather be in a high school... thats saying something... plus no Parking at Metro.

β β β β β Review entirely depends on what show you're seeing, but as far as the actual building/permanent staff go, the seating was good, theatre clean, and staff helpful. Parking can be tricky depending on the hour, but there is enough on street parking if you're willing to walk a block or two. Bike racks around the back of the theatre are great for those who want some exercise.

β β β β β I like the metro a lot as a venue in Victoria to see plays and performance art. Itβs not an overwhelming venue in which you are far away from the performances which I like. The only draw back is the seat cushions are not overly comfortable if you are sitting in them for longer than an hour. My butt started to fall asleep midway through a performance and I was hoping an intermission would come soon.

β β β β β Was here for Corey Payette (who does phenomenal work btw), the theater was a nice venue, the layout works well for the space. They also were donating to great charitable causes.

β β β β β Theatre space is surprisingly small like a comedy club; most high school theatres are surprisingly larger than this place. The reception staff seems nice and the venue I viewed had people sitting in tables which was pleasant. From reading reviews it seems the shows vary in quality. The one I watched tonight... I rather not score on it to put it politely but I'm down with the place supporting local fringe performers in general.
