The bakery treats are so, so good. The Portuguese tarts are incredible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shopping today, Monday, 7 people ahead of me in check out line. Cashiers 1-5, only 2 open then 1 left for the day. Took a few minutes for replacement to arrive. I find it annoying that you have only 2 cashiers on duty. I know you are trying to force people to go to the "self checkouts" which I refuse to use as they are taking jobs away from people that need to work. Also if you want self checkouts to be used you need to lower your prices. I am not doing it myself when paying a fortune for groceries. Also visited Friday evening. Noticed nobody cleaning carts and nothing at the cleaning station to use. No spray no wipes, nothing. Was always impressed with cleaning practices at this store but all seems to be slipping except for mask wearing. Cleaning station had supplies today. If service doesn't improve to the way it used to be I guess we will try another store in Peterborough, perhaps Superstore or Independent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to buy a salad on my lunch break and I went through the self checkout. Because my salad was 30% off I needed a worker to put it through for me. It didn't work. She cleared my order and started again. It didn't work. She tried a 3rd time and still it didn't work. She took my salad over to the lottery centre and I had to wait in line for my salad. A new worker tried 3 times to put it through and it didn't work. I just ended up paying full price for my salad and leaving. I don't mind paying full price for a salad, but the ordeal around buying something on sale in the self checkout was a bit much. That being said, the salad was good although I wish they still stocked the single packets of Rene's raspberry dressing.
