About Merlis Belsher Place
Starting July 1st, the masking policy in effect for all University facilities, including Merlis Belsher Place, has been put on pause for the summer.

Merlis Belsher Place is a cutting edge recreational facility on the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon, SK. It provides a spectator rink size 200′ x 90′, and a 2nd NHL-size ice surface, 200′ x 85′. It also houses the 2 official NBA-size Ron and Jane Graham Gymnasiums.
The recreational facility is the new home of the University of Saskatchewan Huskie hockey, basketball and campus leagues as well as the Midget AAA Contacts and Midget AAA Stars of the Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association. The new facility is spacious and designed to provide excellent user and spectator experiences. The Merlis Belsher Place replaces the rustic Rutherford Arena which was the second oldest facility still in use in Canada.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! Impressive facility. Has a gym and 2 ice surfaces. Concessions all around and a Subway and Olympian Sports in the lobby. One is a community rink and the other meant for the Huskies. But they open both up for minor hockey.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This facility is a grate place to watch hockey or other events held here. I t is home to the University of Saskatchewan men’s and women’s hockey teams as well as the prairie facility for the basketball teams. I t has 2 ice surfaces as well as a gym for basketball to your left when you first walk in. It also has a pro shop that is only open certain hours depending on what’s going on as well as a subway. The main rink is very nice and never feels crowded when full for a hockey game or other events. The main rink also has food and drinks.
This facility has lots of parking.
