★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you ever feel worried about building a PC by yourself for first time - Memory Express is the #1 place in Edmonton to help you select the best parts for your budget. Definitely consider coming to their store before you order something on their website because sometimes they have better deals in stock which you can buy right away + they can mount CPU, cooler and other components for motherboard for free, which can save a lot of time if you ever consider building the rest by yourself (which isn't hard at all).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a loyal customer of Memory Express but unfortunately, I did not have a good experience today. I went to Memory Express in the west end to look at laptops with the intent of purchasing one. As I was browsing, there was one laptop that I was unable to find any information about the make and model of. There were no sales associate available to assist me so I very gently tilted the laptop lid enough to see what the brand was (knowing full well they had signs not to close the lid which did not even come close to closing) and one of the sales associate rudely approached me and lectured me about closing the laptop lids and then walked away. He did not even offer to assist me (wearing a black toque with a white logo). I was so upset about the way I was treated that I decided to take my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional staff at this location.
The locks they have on their laptops are not designed for customer experience so beware of this. If I'm going to spend $1500+ on a product, I want to be able to see all of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I go there for getting computers or parts, the staff were friendly and accommodating. I originally had an issue with the IPR where I was told it would cover dead pixels and tried to return the monitors. The manager Joshua C. reached out to me and we were able to resolve the issue. I really appreciate being contacted to fix any issues to maintain good customer relationship.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We brought our Asus laptop in this morning to the service dept. The gentleman who we spoke with suggested we leave it for a few days to have it diagnosed. We agreed and then he asked for our AC adapter. We did not have it and he told us that we would need to provide one before they could proceed. I asked if they had one in their service dept. and he said NO and it seemed he could care less. Perhaps disengaged is more appropriate. I find it hard to believe that a business such as this does not have a spare adapter! Come on! I get it, people are having a tough time with the pandemic but this kind of lacklustre customer service does not cut it! Furthermore, we bought the computer there. On a more positive note, the sales dept. was very good and found me a suitable external hard drive on sale.

I hadn't bought a computer in many years and he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable with me. Pick up day was awesome, with some of the staff happily congratulating me. I am sure they are amazing with more complex customers as well, but as a newbie, i was so impressed. Thanks Jordan.

Brian was a wonderful help from the beginning to the end of our dealings. I first met him when I brought in a computer tower I bought from best buy that was having cooling issues. We looked at possible cooling options and came to the conclusion that we didn't really have any options just due to the available space.. He thankfully suggested that I see about returning the computer to best buy and building a custom computer with memory express... That very same day I had the computer returned to best buy and was calling him giving him the go ahead.. In the end I did end up spending a heck of a lot more money then I did at best buy but I got the computer I had been dreaming of so for me it was completely worth it. He didn't pressure me to do anything, just gave me quality information and guided me thru part selection.

The staff are helpful and very knowledgeable. Their catalog of items is online so you can always check in advance if they have them in stock. Pricing is good as well.
