I'm your photographer.  I wake up most days and pinch myself, because I get to do what I LOVE for a living. I've been photographing people professionally ever since Memories by Mandy came to be in 2007 after the completion a Photographic Imaging Technician Diploma here in Saskatoon. My business, skills, creativity and portfolio have grown steadily for well over a decade and I simply love what I do. I am now a fully accredited, award winning, photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). I am proudly accredited in the wedding category via the PPOC and continue to learn and grow professionally through the amazing education this organization provides.  I won 'Best Wedding Portrait' in Saskatchewan and Canada (This has been my biggest honor in my professional career to date!), through the PPOC back in 2018, and was nominated for photographer of the year in Saskatchewan in 2019 (Also pretty great!).  Our specialty is photographing families on location or at our Saskatoon photography studio, however we also love to photograph corporate work as well. We take on very limited wedding bookings by referral.

I pride myself in my volunteer work and currently volunteer as a photographer for Empty Arms, a non profit organization here in Saskatoon who helps families who have tragically lost a baby. I am also the main organizer at Trash the Dress charity event here in Saskatoon which has raised over $192,000 for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation here in Saskatoon. I have personally donated thousands of dollars in products and gift certificates to various silent auctions and cash over the years. Giving back is truly the icing on the cake of this gig.

On a personal note, I'm married to an amazing, hilarious, and good-looking guy named Jesse.  We tied the knot back in 2009 and have since welcomed a couple of kiddos into the family. Now that they are both in school and activities, our free time consists of hauling someone to an activity or a playdate. I'm an artist at heart, an artsy fartsy kind of gal with a love for drawing and painting that I’ve had ever since childhood.  It's therefore no surprise that my career has become my creative outlet.  While I don't get to paint much anymore, my camera has allowed me to keep the creativity alive.

I feel so lucky to have found something that I absolutely love to do, and so fortunate to all the beautiful people who have graced my camera. Without you, I wouldn’t be here.
