Meineke Car Care Center

I walked into this shop requesting new break pads, and after 4 hours I walked out with a bill for $1,834.50. I have only taken my 2015 Honda CRV to Honda dealerships to get serviced (aside from the occasional oil change). I have always been happy with the dealership, but I thought I would give another shop a try to hopefully save some money. Unfortunately this was not the case. I believe services that were not crucial were added to pad the bill (he even tried to sell me new tires). The services on the bill included: A coolant flush A break flush Rear break calipers Front & rear break rotors Front & rear break pads Front & rear break service I think the replacement of the rear brake calipers was unnecessary, given the age of the car and the fact that they weren't leaking any fluid. He mentioned that they were "seized and may need to be replaced". He never called back and just ended up replacing them and billing me for it. An estimate was not provided prior to any of the work being done. Partially my mistake for being too trusting. Mostly the shops mistake for taking advantage of a first time customer. When he presented me with the bill and saw the look on my face, all he could say was "it can really add up, eh?" I read the reviews on here prior to bringing my car into this location. It looks like most of the reviews were written over a year ago. Perhaps the pandemic has taken a toll on this garage. I have since found an honest and trustworthy mechanic at Superior Tire and Auto in Mississauga. I recently brought my other vehicle to him with an A/C issue and it was fixed a few hours later and he did not try to upsell me any other service. I will be taking my vehicles to this location going forward and I will not be returning to Meineke.

Fairly reasonable, always able to accommodate last minute needs due emergencies. Very nice and professional manager.

I had my car towed in from another shop for a second opinion. Thankfully, because it turned out to be a minor repair compared to the scare tactic the other company (I will refrain from naming) tried to use on me. The manager was extremely kind and talked me through my choices. I am so grateful to their team & extremely happy my car is running perfectly ?

Outstanding service, fast and flexible especially appreciated during busy winter month of December. Driving home from work i managed to knock out my front alignment pretty bad after sliding on some snow covered black ice at a 4 way stop into the curb. You could visibly see damage on my passenger side wheel which was now toeing outward after the impact and driving straight required turning the wheel excsessively to the left. I called many shops in this Miss/oakville area and each shop said they had no availabily for weeks and couldnt fit me in. Asking a lot i know but i needed my car running ASAP. Within the day! Then i called the folks at Meineke and they were extremely kind to slot me into their busy schedule! They showed me the damage they found and only 2 hrs later they had replaced the bent tie rod components finished the alignment and a couple final test drives from the service techs i was back on the road again! Amazing! These guys are the real pros if you want to get your car fixed right! Totally recomended and ill be going back for future repairs when needed.

Worst Customer care service ever. The person/owner at the reception was rude and disrespectful to me and my friends. Over priced charges on basic services. Good luck to the ones who wish to go there hereafter.

Friendly professional service. I had no bad experience with any of the employees. I was lucky to have my car seen right away on an early Saturday afternoon with no appointment.

I am from out of town and i needed a place to fix something on my car last week while i was working before going back on the highway. They did a great job on the repairs. They were quick, priced great, trustworthy and great to work with on fixing my car all around. I would definitely use them again.

They always do their best to fit us into their schedule in a pinch. My mom (senior) and I recently had to get the battery replaced in her car. The battery ended up having a manufacturing defect, so they promptly and happily provided a new battery without issue. Friendly service from shop manager Shawn, and he explains how they serviced the vehicle in a friendly accessible way without feeling like the information is dumbed down.
