Ive had the pleasure of working with Sylvain at Mecano Plus and his team following a burst transmission line on my car. He kept me informed as to exactly what was wrong with my car and gave me an honest opinion as to what costs to expect. Furthermore, he proposed to repair a part inhouse instead of buying a new one from the manufacturer thereby saving me a substantial amount of money. Honesty like this is difficult to come by and I will continue to bring my business to Sylvain and Mecano Plus Vaudreuil.

BEWARE! I dont know how they got all these 5 star reviews... they Did a scan that was not necessary, i told him i have an obd scanner, he did it abyways.kept the car for 5 days, no repairs done, they charged 165$. Left there with a very sour taste in my mouth. Tres mauvaise communication. 5 jours (sans preavis) pour un diagnostic a 165$. Aucune reparation effectuée . Plus jamais.

I had a problem with my air conditioner. Normally I go to MTL with any car troubles , but this time I decided to look for a garage closer to me. So this is how I found Mecano Plus Vaudreuil , and I had a really bad experience with them. First at all I lost about 40 min at reception desk waiting while the guy was on the phone and after that he couldn’t find my appointment that I booked in advance . I explained my problem, and he said that that they are going to do a vacuum test to check the system before filling it with freon. In 40 minutes my car was ready. The person who repaired it told me that he made the test, everything is good and he refilled the system. I was paid $273 (including $15 as covid fee). Two days later air conditioner stopped cooling at all. I was really upset and in few days I returned to Mecano Plus to find the leek in the system. Person on reception told me, that it is impossible to find the leek, because they didn’t put a colorant in the system. (what they were supposed to do when I initially came and I was sure it was already done) I have a hybrid car, and he said that the colorant for hybrid car air conditional system should be different and they have to contact dealer Toyota to find all information about conditioner oil and colorant type for that oil. He said that he will give an appointment in few days. I replayed that I would not pay for nothing and I want to know how much I need to pay to fix the problem. He told me that he will contact the dealer Toyota and he will call me back as soon as possible. It was more than 5 weeks ago and I have never got any feedback from them. Finally the problem was found and fixed. I went to MTL, Merson garage, and got a full service for $147.5 (including $2.5 as covid fee). So, I think there are two scenarios: 1)They know everything about oils and colorants, but they wanted me to pay twice to find the leek. 2)They really know nothing about oils and colorants for hybrid cars. Anyway I don’t like none of these two: first, they are crosseurs, second, they don’t have enough competences to work with air conditioner on hybrid car. I waste $273 and I will never come back to that company and will advice to all my friends to avoid them.

Claude is the best mechanic around and I can always trust the repairs and the problem evaluation of my cars.
