After years of trying many acting classes throughout Vancouver, I have found it in MDS studios! In the short time that I have been in his class I have slowly started to learn how to create a believable character, how to work outside of class everyday and how to learn my lines using the numbers! I am excited to see where this journey takes me and I am confident that I will become a better actor while studying at MDS Actors Studio.! Thank you Michael!

Michael teaches with an inclusive practise that makes acting fun and enables deeper understanding. There is a real sense of connectedness and warmth in the classroom that provides a very comforting, intimate space to go where you need to go as an actor. He pushes for emotional truth and authenticity and relies on a rehearsal process that empowers actors to re-produce results over and over and develop tools that allow them to become better actors without merely relying on a teacher to direct them towards a certain end result.

He offered these sessions for no other reason than to give fellow actors a safe space to work on their craft. He is an entirely selfless teacher, extremely charismatic and enthusiastic, and I always got the sense he cares deeply about acting, art, and his students. I hope I get the chance to work with him again one day soon. I saw him work with actors of all levels over zoom - he knows how to push the seasoned actor (gently and with compassion) and I definitely recommended his class for beginners, too.

If you live in Vancouver I highly recommend his in-person classes which are currently held in full compliance with Covid-19 protocols. If you live elsewhere do not miss the opportunity to work with him and sign up for his online lessons on Zoom. Thanks to his bombproof technique, called "The process", that Michael teaches will allow you to explore all your possibilities as an actor in a safe environment full of passion and fun. On your side, you have to put in hard work and perseverance. Every 5 classes in-person, there is one dedicated exclusively to the skills needed in the auditions.
