Old, plently of bugs, small rooms, horrible bathrooms, poor ventilation

Clean Bathroom! Quiet most of the time and always fun to hang with friends in the kitchen. Also get yourself a nice rig in the lounge for nice dual monitor productivity

Worst place as a university dorm EVER. Some of the worst people came and live here, leaving a strong odor of marijuana and broken infrastructures. And this problem tends to be a racially based problem which the front desk doesn’t care about.

Prison like looking rooms. Concrete walls. Rust leaking from the roof in the stairwell. No welcome package when moving in so when my floormates are yelling at 1:30 am on a Tuesday, I don't know who to call. The chair in my room is very old and stinks up my room but SFU residence and housing "has no where to put it". No air conditioning So room gets very stuffy. Everyone in the entire building has their window open for a reason. I would give more stars but I'm fed up with SFU not giving you a place to express your concerns. Very very very low amount of handicap accessibility. I can't imagine needing to wheel myself up the 30 degree gravel road from the residence to class every day. A tonne of little things and big things added up to make it a pretty poor experience. There is construction right outside my window which is kind of understandable, but I got an email noting to me that it won't stop for weekends or finals. They also start work at 7am every morning. I asked if price would be reduced once the new building is built but to no surprise, there was no response. Really really really low amount of care. I'm glad I have a place to stay, but I wish SFU treated you with respect and care. Whereas instead they treat you poorly with lack of care on your experience. PS. my experience getting into housing was quite the opposite. Although the housing is everything I stated above, I was treated very kindly and very respectfully when I reached out to SFU to house me on short notice when I got wrongfully evicted a little over a month ago. I am forever grateful for a place to sleep, but they really do need to work on allot before the housing deserves more than one star. Update: I am adding a star because front desk is kind even if they don't get what you want done.
