Some of the other reviews ring true. I had my lawn mower fully serviced there and when I got it home it wouldn't start. I took it back and they gave me the "bad gas" universal excuse. I told him I did not change the gas that was in the machine after they finished servicing it. They still blamed me because it was a humid day and water could condense in the tank on a humid day. News to me that Toro lawn mowers don't operate on humid days. I really liked the old McNeely who passed away. Too bad he didn't influence his children.

I've never written a review before today, but think others should be warned: Buy equipment from this dealer at your peril. I was willing to pay more ($350) for a mower to get local service. 1 year later it won't start. I bring it in and the service manager tells me the carb is fouled from using "bad" gas (I only ever use fresh premium gas in small engines) he says well it's still bad and it wil cost $200 because the warranty won't cover it. i I refuse and he hands me back my disassembled mower in a cardboard box!! And says I owe him $40 anyway. I took the box-o-parts to Ottawa Fastener, who are another licensed dealer. They make a call to the manufacturer and get the job covered under warranty as it's not due to gas at all but an engine defect. They repaired, reassembled and tuned it up at no cost. Others I've talked to in small engine repair tell me it used to be a great place before the father died and son took it over. Sorry but others deserve to know.

My snowblower died. Contacted McNeely’s about getting it fixed. They came the next day, picked it up. They called be back saying the snowblower was ready. Paid my bill and they dropped it back. Decent snowstorm yesterday, pumped the gas, pulled the cord. The snowblower sang. It sounded better than the day I got it. Previously got it serviced at a different dealer but it never sounded that good. Really impressed with the service. Awesome job guys. Planning to leave the lawnmower in early spring.

I bough a Husqvarna ST111 single stage snowblower with a pull cord in 2016 for about $800. From the beginning, the machine would not start in cold weather. Neither I nor my neighbour, a large strong man, were able to start it if the temperature dipped below -10C or so. I notified McNeelys of the problem in the first year, and the owner promised me that I could trade in the snowblower for an electric start snowblower, with a small deduction from the original purchase price. He said he had no electric start snowblowers in stock but would notify me when he did. He never did notify me, and I have called every year since then, with no satisfactory resolution of the problem. There was never an electric start machine in stock and he just kept putting me off and forgetting what he had told me previously. I just got off the phone with him, and he told me he would not give me anything close to the $500 he promised in the spring of 2020, and further would charge me $75 if he had to come and pick it up to inspect it. (I live 10 minutes away from the business.) Further, a few years ago, I was charged about $150 above the quoted price to do a simple maintenance check on a virtually brand new lawn tractor that needed only an oil change. I was told that the quote was just a "base price" and extra services had to be added in order to complete the maintenance. All this was done without notifying me first. As noted, I have purchased other items from McNeely's including a lawn tractor but I promise that I will not be doing any further business with them. And Mr. McNeely, do not tell me that you cannot verify my information.

Went in to buy a snowblower. Dave was very helpful in my purchase of my new Ariens machine. It was a great decision in getting this machine. Thanks Dave for your help.

I have been dealing with McNeely's for 30 years. Have always been treated fairly and with respect. I have no complaints. If you take your equipment in for work at the start of winter or spring you will find them quite busy. Maybe because they are good at what they do? I have purchased 2 lawn tractors (20 year old is still running), a string trimmer, a blade trimmer, a chipper, a chain saw (died after 27 years) and will be buying a new chain saw soon.

Our family has bought equipment from the Family over the years. (Lawn tractors, chainsaw, string trimmer and all the maintenance parts). All I can say is we are so fortunate to have a local, one stop shop with in-house service. Box stores sell widgets to nobodys and then you're on your own. I like the place where I can go in and talk to the Owner who will make things right if ever needed. Thank you Chad for being a staple in the Rural West.

Recently purchased a Telescopic Pole Saw and Clearing Saw. Both are working extremely well. From sales to service pick up and thoroughly going over the saws with me, answered all my questions etc.. I would not shop anywhere else after such a positive experience. Well worth the drive from town to deal with this company. Thanks Chad and staff.
