The truth is, I am a romantic. I believe that finding love is the most incredible thing that can happen to you. It is epic, life-changing. It is a time that deserves to be celebrated and seen
I never have felt more comfortable being a third-wheel when I'm making crazy noises behind the camera and laughing at an inside joke that i'm not a part of. But i'll laugh anyways.
I am all in all infatuated with humans and how we choose to love one another daily.
So I'm going to be honest, everyone thinks they are awkward in front
of the camera.
EVERYONE.
I'm THE MOST awkward person in front of the camera.
SO here's the secret... some of my dad jokes (which I get from the dad of all dads, my husband) mixed with alot of my prompts gets you feeling like we have been friends for years.
At the end of the day I want us to have fun, make some memories and create some art. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, camping, and sitting around the campfire with my family.
Today I live with my husband Tyler and three children in legendary Fernie, BC, and you can typically find me trying to sleep in past 9:00am and playing with my three crazy cool kiddos.

She is very good at telling her subjects exactly what to do and where to stand to orchestrate beautiful shots. She had several great ideas of where to shoot her photos, and is very in touch with the lighting and views in the Fernie area. It was so special to have Mckenzie as a very important part of our wedding day, and we truly loved her presence. We felt that she was there to capture all the best moments of the day which made it so that no family members felt that they needed to take any photos at all. We are forever grateful.

The photos turned out amazing. She’s very professional but also feels like a friend when your talking/working with her! Great communication, was never late, easy to make plans with .. all great things.
I’d recommend her any day.

She gave us clear instructions to help us get the best poses for great photos. She worked very well with our children as well to get great photos of them also. We had a very small wedding yet she noticed all of the small details and captured all of them without us asking. I would recommend her to everyone!

She took our wedding photos and we fell in love with them as soon as we received our sneak peek photos which was only a 2 or 3 days after our wedding and the rest came about a month later! Our photos take me back to the day so vividly, thats everything I could ask for! Mckenzie was very professional, very relaxed (she helped keep me relaxed too, I knew I was in good hands), she is very personable and fun. She was even able to get my husband to relax and enjoy the experience which can be a challenge. We felt very comfortable with Mckenzie and the photos we would be getting from her of our big day! She was awesome, I am constantly recommending her to anyone I know in need of a photographer. Her gallery alone speaks for itself, but the couples and families she has photographed can speak for her! I think anyone who has worked with her probably says the same thing and I would hands down I would have Mckenzie as a photographer again!

I really worried booking a photographer for our wedding, there’s all the pressure with it being the one thing you gave to look back on so many years later; I could not be more thankful we booked with Mckenzie! She definitely over delivered, not a single photo we don’t love. She managed to capture each and every special moment, but also was talented enough to capture the emotion in each photo. We cannot thank her enough for her absolute professionalism (but still being fun so it wasn’t lame) and her talent was like no other! I could not recommend her enough, and I am so excited to work with her again!
