We are a team of clinical psychologists offering specialized services to children/teenagers, individual (adults), couples, and most importantly, families. We have professional offices in Calgary, Alberta in the communities of Kensington and Douglas Glen.
About McAtee Psychology Douglas Glen
All of our services are offered in-person or virtually. Telehealth (Virtual) appointments can be booked at both our locations, any day of the week. Our session length for counselling and assessment services is 55-minutes. Longer ( 90 to 120-minute) sessions may be offered at your therapists’ discretion. We are happy to provide complimentary consultations virtually or by phone.
Adult Intake Assessment - This service is for individuals over the age of 18 who are interested in beginning a general or formal psychological assessment. This would include an assessment for formal assessment for ADHD, MVA, Giftedness, Psycho-Educational, or Mental Health Psychological Assessment. Click here to learn more about our assessment options for adults. We do NOT offer custody evaluations or parental capacity assessments.
Children & Teen Intake Assessment - This service is for individuals under the age of 18 who are interested in beginning a general or formal psychological assessment. This would include an assessment for formal assessment for ADHD, MVA, Giftedness, Psycho-Educational, or Mental Health Psychological Assessment.
Psychological Assessment & Consultation - This service is specifically for individuals continuing an assessment. A Children & Teen Intake Assessment or Adult Intake Assessment session should be booked before this service. It is recommended you consult with admin staff/your clinician before booking this service.
Free Counselling Consult - A free counselling consult is designed for clients who are unsure about therapy or whether their therapist might be a good fit. Book this service if you want to ask your therapist preliminary questions or if you have reservations about committing to a regular counselling appointment. It is not mandatory and not all therapists offer free consults. You will receive a virtual link via email for your free consultation an hour before your appointment. Please indicate at the top of your intake form If you wish to receive a phone consultation instead of a virtual consultation. We recommend you fill out the intake form prior to your free counselling consult.
Free Assessment Consult - A free assessment consult is designed for clients who are unsure about psychological assessment or whether they require a formal assessment. Only book this service if you are considering a formal or general assessment - Psycho-Educational; ADHD; Mental Health; Autism for example. Therapists offering a free assessment consult can also answer questions about assessments. It may also be best to call our office if you are seeking a formal assessment. You will receive a virtual link via email for your free consultation an hour before your appointment.
