About Calgary Institute of Counselling
We are a group of Calgary Psychologists who are passionate about changing clients’ lives. We have a large variety of backgrounds and experiences. This allows us to connect well with a wide range of people from diverse background.
We are trained in a wide variety of areas to help you with the traumas, challenges and stresses that you have faced. We are dedicated to finding the right approach for you that will work as each person’s journey has been different. This is why we tailor each session to each person’s goals in therapy. No one counselling session is the same.
As Psychologists we believe in counselling. We all attend therapy ourselves. We also believe in continuing education. Each week we meet for training. As well, throughout the year we are often enrolled in ongoing education and seminars to increase our knowledge and abilities in the counselling field. We desire to the best counsellor for our clients.
We believe that the most important part of counselling is relationship between Psychologist and client. This is why we all offer free 20-minute consultations to all new clients.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kyla is my first psychologist ever and I have to say it is a great counseling experience with her. She does offer sliding scale fee as well so it is a bonus. Highly recommend her as well as Calgary institute of counseling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AVOID this therapist at all costs. Jenn Betts does not try to work from an objective point of view. She creates more problems by taking sides. Jenn does not practice with ethical considerations to how her advice will cause further damage to the couple she was treating. She has been effectively fired as my couples counsellor and will be reported to her board. If legal action becomes an option, I will be suing for the damages she has created by suggesting an inappropriate action for one parent to take against another.
