★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This facility has one NHL sized ice rink, one Olympic sized ice rink, and ice dedicated to curling. To be honest I've just barely looking in on the curling area.
The McArthur Island Curling Club is a busy club with several leagues (mens, ladies, seniors, etc), programs to learn to curl, and programs for youth.
In addition to all of the hockey that goes on at the McArthur Island Sports Center, the facility is shared with other groups like the Kamloops Long Blades, and the Kamloops Skating Club.
The Kamloops Long Blades are a well established speed skating club with members of all ages. I’ve seen some speed skating competitions on the Olympic ice and it’s quite exciting to watch.
The Kamloops Skating Club is a good place to go if you want to learn to skate, or participate in recreational, figure, or power skating.
The concession is open most times when there’s an event and serves quite a bit in the way of grilled food.

This facility boasts NHL and Olympic size rinks and is surrounded by numerous soccer ⚽️ and baseball ⚾️ fields as well as disk golf and a skate park. It also has a boat launch and walking ?♂️ trail with opportunities for wildlife viewing, as well as free mining golf ⛳️ just bring your own putter & ball.
