Worked for the night shift in steel fuel tank (SFT). The machines themselves work well but they have their issues so downtime has occured in the past 4 months. The 2 team leaders are a few years older than me and are nice and do care about the quality of the tanks. Sure, many of the workers had just started no more that a few months before me and 3 more co-op students came aboard, there were a few who stayed for years. . One position of mine required using a robot welder that eventually needed the tips changes so it feels like my manufacturing class in high school which requires maintanence. The work is REALLY physical, if you follow proper procedures you can work for long periods of time, after training you must plan out how your going to work so there are no delays. If you look for a challenge and experience in a production plant I would recommend working there, I don't know what the other departments are like, but SFT personnel care about their workers. Midnight shift not so much, it changes you body clock, unless you really want to.

Do NOT work here! Horrible experience in Stamping with Terry and Justin... Was put on the 1800 ton machine for 3 days straight. I wanted to switch up because if you worked that machine before you know what i mean!! They wouldn't switch me up asked every 2 hours and they kept asking for to "hang in there"! Wasted 5 weeks on my life. MIND NUMBING AND YOU FEEL LIKE A ROBOT! Not to mention back pain!

The company has changed ownership over the years. Their still quite efficient in receiving large quantities of processed steel coils.

Absolutely the worst place I've ever worked, bar none. The staff are uncompromising and at times obnoxious. The work is extremely physically demanding and gruellingly repetitive yet the managers are unwilling to recognize and appreciate the strain on the bodies of employees. The pay is abysmal for such strenuous work. Forget trying to get time off unless you're dying. New ideas and suggestions to improve work environment are met with decisive negativity and even termination of employment. Camaraderie is met with division. It is by far the worst, most ignominious, uninviting place I've worked at in 11 years of manufacturing production. DON'T APPLY HERE!

One of the worst places ever to work. Horrible managers and very hard labour and extremely boring. No wonder they go through over 2000 people a year. literally a number here. Terry is an idiot in stamping.. so is jeff and justin. If they are still there. Managers Treat you like slaves.

Still essential work, great during covid.. It's manufacturing, so yes expect to be worked hard with low pay. So far I haven't had any bad experiences here. It is what you make of it

Internal hiring practices limit the potential for growth. Use of uncertified "skilled workers" is an example of this.
