ABOUT THE FOUNDER: TONY MATIC
Tony was the founder of Matix Lumber – a father first and foremost, to both his immediate family and those he mentored throughout his career. He strived to ensure everyone knew the importance of family, hard work, and honesty both in personal and professional life. His clear-cut method of giving advice and his various open perspectives allowed him to positively influence and impact the people he came in close contact with.
In business, Tony was reliable, always fulfilling the promises he made, and those who worked with him knew that Tony looked for the result that would benefit every party, leaving everyone feeling like progress was made. His business methodology was always approached with know-how and a kind heart.
He was very well-known for developing strong bonds with First Nations communities, with many of his close friends being Chiefs and council members who shared a vision of First Nations community betterment. Tony created his own brand of social activism, employing many First Nations individuals to work on their own communities while spearheading projects to improve structural development on numerous reserves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service here... the staff member I talked to today was extremely condescending and disrespectful.. I won't be back. Not sure of his name but he had a brush cut some scruff and glasses, worked in the lumber department. They should really hire some nicer people.. It seems like there are a lot of reviews about how poorly there staff treat costumers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never call back when promised. Ask 3 times for the same quote no response. They had a good sales guy, who left and after that the whole process got out of control. Very disappointed in there Sales team, if you can call them a Sales team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a small business owner I figured I would travel 20km to visit Matix Lumber (Seeing as how they are locally owned and operated), and I love supporting local businesses. I was very disappointed in my overall experience and especially dealing with Sue Matic. She had a condescending attitude and was extremely unhelpful. I will not be visiting this establishment again. You are better off going to Rona, at least they know how to treat a customer!

Any Makita tools you need. Including jack hammers and the huge circular saw for wood beams.
Decent lighting and a some good choices
For flooring.
Many other products available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ low customer service rates. high turnover. toxic place. lots of unhappy staff. ceo is self aborbed mean person. no formal salary reviews. benefits not the greatest, that you should triple check when you get a job. benefits like sick time, vacation time, etc. not the greatest place to do business and to work.

They don’t listen to your requests and do stuff without your approval. From my experience i would never recommend anyone to buy trust or lumber from this company ever.

The shopping experience was quick, friendly and trouble free. Try Matrix Lumber if you desire friendly and helpful people and products at a fair price. ?
