My husband took the plunge, a difficult one as well by the way, to go and see her as a psychologist. After the session he felt pretty good, he felt it was an honest discussion and felt he got to speak his mind. After the session she wrote a letter that was supposed to be sent to his family doctor. The letter was a complete 180 from what she discussed in the session, and when she spoke to my husband she said "Upon reflection after you left, I feel differently". She didn't express her change in opinion to my husband during the session, in an email, on a phone call, by carrier pigeon....nothing. She simply decided unilaterally that she was going to report to another doctor a completely different version of opinion than what she expressed to my husband - she sent an email asking if he was comfortable with her letter without ANY discussion with him further. As if he was supposed to be ok with her essentially lying to him and wanted him to just be ok with it. She was dishonest, unprofessional and has proven herself untrustworthy. BEWARE - the psychologist-patient relationship is not sacred to this woman and there is no guarantee that you're getting an honest, truthful version from her. If she was willing to do this after one session where my husband felt he bared his problems, who knows what else she is willing to do and lie about. Take from this what you will, there's always two sides, but trust and honesty should be paramount in these situations and find a different doctor if you agree. I find it really sad and disheartening to see someone I love be treated this way when this was a difficult step for him to take in the first place....I'm beyond disgusted.
