★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a pretty horrible toxic environment when their management team tells their best staff they are “a nobody”.
I used to support mast however after hearing how their best employees are treated I’ll take my money else where to where their staff are treated with the respect they deserve.
Absolutely appalling. You would think Rob having so long in the industry would know how to treat members of staff. However they manage to loose the top barbers they have.
Don’t go here unless you want a bad haircut for 50$ by staff that now don’t know how to cut.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only reason I ever get excited to come to Edmonton is because I know my husb will finally have a nice haircut + beard trim. Hands down the best haircut he has ever had! He’s planning on trying out the Grey blending service the next time we are visiting, can’t wait to see the results!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the best barber shop in Edmonton. The vibe was awesome Rob has been exceptional all the time. Always. Rob is so easy to chat to and his knowledge is amazing. The best thing about Mast is the consistency. Cannot recommend enough!! Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to love going to this place. However the staff turn over is ridiculous- how they manage to loose 4 great barbers in the space of a month is beyond me.
They had two main stylists at the downtown location which is why I would go they were both great. However the management team have no idea how to treat their staff or respect them.
Don’t go here unless you want to have you appointments cancelled and moved over to different stylists as they can’t keep the good ones.

Its a non judging stress eliminating atmosphere great cuts service and prices staff is great Rob is and absolute blast really knows how your day is going to make you feel good after your done, always looking after you. I feel the turnover of stylists of course have their own followers so i understand the frustration of moving around but its the Mast brand Rob is protecting decades of hard work to become an owner. Sometimes its hard to swallow when its not your final decisions or establishment to make them! but that's logistics! MAST IS AMAZING weather its downtown or Strathcona

They sell their own product (paste, shampoo, body wash) and it is the best hair paste and shampoo I've used. The shop is always clean. Never have to wait. Shop is always clean. Staff is extremely personable and professional. Always great conversation. I get compliments on my hair and have to thank the crew at MAST for making me look good every month!
