While co-oping in Toronto this summer, I started having some dental issues. A family member contacted their dentist, Dr. Maryam Adibfar, and she was able get me in the office quickly. It was just a small cosmetic dental fix and I was in and out before I knew it! I would just like to say thank you to Dr. Adibfar and her staff for finding time for me and making me feel so welcome.

Horrible Experience! I had only been to see Maryam Adibfar twice, and both times I had major issues following. On the first occasion, she was very rough and rushed to do a filling. She did not finish it correctly and left one tooth not filed correctly and I could therefore not close my mouth the next day. This resulted in me having to take another day off of work to have an emergency corrective dental session. After this first event I had politely asked the dental surgeries receptionist to please ask Maryam Adibfar if she could be more gentle and thorough during my next visit. However, after my second visit where I had had my fillings done, I subsequently had terrible pain. She said this was normal since the filling was deep and advised me the pain would subside. It did not! I called 2 weeks later, still in pain. She then advised me to take advil every 4 hours until the pain went away. This never occurred and in fact worsened. I continued to take the advil for TWO further weeks under her instruction which resulted in severe stomach pains. After doing my own research I discovered continued use of advil can have this effect and seriously damage your stomach lining. As my pain worsened I decided to call again and arrange another appointment. Knowing how much pain I was in, Maryam Adibfar still proceeded to try and tap my tooth with a metal wand instead of doing an xray to see if there has been nerve damage. This final visit resulted in her referring me to a specialist for root canal treatment. Not only did I pay over $400 for the filling she made a mess of, I now have to pay a specialist a further $1500. I fully understand issues may arise in the field of dentistry, however every single experience I have had with Maryam Adibfar has been negative. She was rough, left me in pain, did sub-par jobs, offered incorrect and dangerous advice around pain management, and charged me a small fortune for the pleasure!! I will never see her again, as a dentist she lives up to every negative stereotype the profession holds.

I have been a patient of Dr Adibfar for the last 3 years. I used to dread going to my last dentist but I have found that I actually look forward to visiting her office. The energy in her office is great and something I have never seen before in a medical or dental office. The staff enjoy their work and enjoy working with each other. I wrote this review because last month I chipped a tooth during dinner. I couldn’t believe the pain so I emailed her office hoping she could see me the next day. I was surprised to receive a response that evening telling me to come in first thing in the morning. Needless to say, Dr Adibfar fixed my tooth quickly and I left the office smiling and pain free. It’s great when you can look forward to visiting the dentist. I have never had this experience before.

Terrible experience with Dr Adibfar. Her consultation consists of 20 xrays and very limited input (a fast way to get a lot of money especially with insurance). She worked for 45 minutes with my mouth open without a break on three cavities back to back, and she was so upset I had to go to the bathroom, and was rude enough to say that she needs more cooperative patients! She left no room to floss between teeth after the fillings. And never apologized when asked to fix this. Dr Adibfar left me with more pain in my teeth than when I first went to her and when I told her.. she just said there was nothing she can do. Please be careful about the reviews that she has online. Who has all these excellent reviews and which dentist receives a new excellent review almost daily?? Really the most popular restaurants or cafes don’t even get that and they actually can claim to have new clients every day. I feel bad I fell for this and I really hope others won’t. I can’t believe any of these reviews can be real. The only good thing she told me was that I needed a night guard, but it came thick and uncomfortable and her assistant was putting it wet in a case until I asked her to dry it because it will be full of bacteria otherwise... basic hygiene knowledge that the staff lacks.

Bad Experience! I had 2 fillings done here and soon after felt lots of pain, I then went back and was told there was no problem by her. The pain continued to get worse so I went to a different dentist to get a second opinion. He told me that the filling was not done properly and that the materials used were extremely flimsy and low quality. I had to get the fillings redone. I also felt rushed during both appointments!

DO NOT GO HERE! I had an absolutely horrible experience. The dentist - Dr.Maryam Adibfar does not care about her patients. I had to get two fillings which is simple enough for an experienced dentist yet I felt rushed out of the appointment and a few days later I started having intensive pain in both fillings. I called back to come back for it to be looked at and the doctor came in for a quick second claimed it looked fine and then once again rushed me out. I ended up having to contact another dental clinic which was fantastic - I was told by the new dentist Dr.Rozansky that the filling was not done properly but luckily he was able to fix it. This was an expensive mistake that no one else should have to suffer through. AVOID MARYAM ADIBFAR AT ALL COSTS.

I have been consistently disappointed with my visit to Maryam Adibfar's dentistry. At first she was extremely aggressive and I would go home with so much pain that I've never felt before from visiting the dentist but I thought, hey maybe this is what needs to happen. During my last visit to her she up charged my insurance provider as a emergency exam even though I planned to visit her months in advance. My insurance didn't cover the emergency exam since it was clear that I wasn't there due to an emergency since I got cleaning done as well. This is absurd.....when I am clearly eligible to receive my insurance coverage. She screwed me. So watch out!

Pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Completely professional approach makes for expected outcome. After paying your bill, their office can remit your claim to your insurance provider. A few minutes walk from Davisville subway station on the Yonge St line. Street parking is hard to get but there are at least 2 surface parking lots close by. TTC is recommended in good weather.
