Best Convenience store in Canada

c	cory tennant on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is an embarrassment to customer service. Owner was having a phone conversation on speaker phone while trying to ring items through at the counter. There are boxes scattered through out the store, some empty some half full of product, makes walking a challenge even from the door to the counter. No idea how this store can keep it’s doors open.

I dont know how people say that the owner friendly. She stared at me for a while and never smiled. It was my first time there and unfortunately i wont go back.

When I went to talk to her, she lied to me saying that one day she asked him to leave the store and he showed a finger at her from the window which never happened! That was the first time he went to that specific store without me, and he is a kind boy stops videos even if he hears swears in it. I was the one encouraged him to go there. I was giving him a lesson about the importance of supporting local businesses. From now on forget about it!

Both times whoever picked up the phone has refused to look for my package, telling me to simply come down and look for myself. I live on the other side of town and do not drive. After seeing the other reviews I have to wonder what kind of business is done here.
T	T M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely love the lady who runs this store. She is always there and likes to make you smile. Always asks how Im doing. She is a kind but strong woman. I like buying my smokes from her. She remembers what i like and when she sees me, has them ready. Love this store so far. It has a good selection of convenience items to choose from.

Fast forward to 2 years ago after moving out of the neighbourhood and a change of ownership since the previous time I’d dropped in, I was met with quite the sourpuss. Asked if they still carried a certain product - Then immediately practically slunk out the door, the hostility she radiated was that thick. Then today I needed to make another trip there to pick up a Canpar parcel. Same chilly vibe, I get the impression she despises people in general. I’m all for supporting local here but there are plenty of other places in Bowness to spend my money on. Mary’s Corner Store is recently on my route home from work but I wouldn’t buy a stick of gum there. I think reviewers calling this person friendly are, I don’t know, maybe her immediate acquaintances putting in a plug for her.
