Marine Drive Golf Club

Despite and unlike privately owned Point Grey Golf Club & the McCleery Golf Club, Marine Drive Club has chosen to ignore the rights of public access to walking pedestrians along the river shore. Instead they have barricaded access and left threatening signs with no phone number or reference. Shame they don’t respect Vancouver citizens’s right of way.

Disappointing that the Marine Drive Golf Club is determined to block public access to the shoreline and is actively preventing the completion of a neighbourhood trail that would benefit everyone in the community. They benefit from our tax payer dollars and city resources yet act hostile and belligerent to their local community. Our family will not be supporting them until they show an openness and willing to be good neighbours.

This is one of the best Golf Clubs in Pacific Northwest. Tremendous Facility , staff, and clubhouse. Its so nice having a Private Golf Club with no rift raft walking on it . Imagine having a walkway through the golf course. That is absurd, its a Golf Club People, not a dog park.

Not a good neighbor. They block access along the river shoreline. I clean up litter from their property every day.

Tiny but tough. Truly 2nd shot course, greens well protected. Center of green for newbies, experience required for pin seekers.

THEY ARE RACIST!!! You will not see a person of colour at this golf course! My nephew worked here for a short time, they had him working early mornings. He was doing things without any training! Their was a lunch for the workers , however my nephew was not invited and had to eat his lunch in the golf cart. He got LAID OFF without any explanation!! The golf course is built on INDIGENOUS LAND, which belongs to the BROWN people! These white Europeans need to understand that! Unless you’re also white and racist then waste your time/money at this golf course!!

My husband and I chose this venue for our August 2021 wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the food was delicious. However, we ran into a few issues while planning our wedding. This also of course was also due to our wedding being during covid. Basically, we had booked this venue 1 year before our scheduled wedding date and about 3 months before our wedding date, we inquired about certain details pertaining to the planning of our event and to our horrific surprise, the restaurant manager came back to us saying that they are no longer holding weddings at this venue and that we have the the option of picking another date. We were absolutely astonished at the lack of professionalism on their part and ended up sending an email to the CEO of the company. Fortunately, he was very sweet and wonderful to deal with and he made arrangements to ensure our wedding would take place as planned. Then, the food and beverage manager that was ultimately hired to help with planning the event afterward was great to deal with at first but once our wedding was over, she had tossed out our wedding cake without even asking us or our families if we would like to keep the leftover cake. Of course as you can imagine, the couple and their families had a lot going on that day so we followed up the next day only to find that our cake had been discarded! We did manage to receive a discount when we involved the CEO. All in all - this was a beautiful venue with good food, we just had some issues along the way! I would just be extra careful when looking into planning a wedding here.
