B	B. P. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Margie was contracted to make some curtains and the end product was satisfactory, but at a price. 1.) request a written estimate for the desired work. Verbal estimates will change, usually in an upwards direction. 2.) Confirm your method of payment. Margie's sewing was adamant about cash and cash only. And then only once work commenced. 3.)Ensure you receive a detailed invoice. The final invoice provided scanty information for the contracted work. It indicates the final payment received and not the initial down payment. Also, no indication of tax paid on this receipt. Receipt was provided on the spot and only when requested. 4.) If you have any concerns or mis-communications with Margies's sewing, I recommend you document every encounter. The proprietor can be a very angry woman and will try and bully you at every step to satisfy her needs. So, as in some businesses, it is buyer beware. This is unfortunate in that small businesses live and die by their reputation. It takes an awfully long time to recover from an unsatisfactory customer experience.

I have always received a verbal estimate and every time I have gone to pick up the finished work, she has billed me exactly what she had quoted, even when she shows me the additional work she had to do to "get it right". I have recommended her service to a number of friends and each of them has come back and stated that they were very happy with her service. Thanks Margie!!
T	Tess Slamen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After hearing about Margie through my friend I was heavily disappointed to hear how this business is run... not only will she block your call if you call more than once to come and pick up your dress, she will top it off by not being shy from calling the police on children who come to pick up their prom dresses. She is very unpleasant, unprofessional and very disappointing... especially in this time and age.... Prom is one of the only joys these kids get now a days. Please save yourself the pain and take your dress to anyone other than this business.

The work that she provided was well done but at a price that was more than double than what anywhere else would have charged. During the entire process, from the initial phone call to the consultation, she had never given me a quote for the alteration and had said that she doesn't do quotes but charges what she feels she should be paid for the job. Even with the far above average price that I had to pay for the alteration she offered to steam my dress but only with an extra charge. When I asked how much extra the steam would cost me she still wasn't able to give me an estimated price and decides how much it will be once she is finished. I am sharing my experience here so that those who are looking for a seamstress can understand the level of professionalism and etiquette that they will receive from Margie.
