★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Updating my review—they are now carrying more organics. Still not a lot, but it’s getting better. Better produce selection. They also Carry Nutrinor organic milk—which is fantastic! Wish they carried the nutrinor cream, but so far they do not.
They’re open until 10pm every day. Their prices are decent on most things, with some a little high and some lower and on sale. Actually pretty good for a corner market. They’re small, so don’t expect an IGA variety, but they have a solid selection for their size.
Yes, they speak primarily French, but if you make an effort to speak French, everyone I’ve come across has been super friendly and encouraging. And having a small grocery just a block away is great!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marche Richelieu is what it is: a small local grocery catering to the immediate neighbourhood, offering convenience and quality. If you want cheap, then get into the car and drive to Walmart or Costco. If you want variety, then go to Maxi/IGA. Complaining about MR's price/variety is like complaining that Fast and Furious had no character development. If you need some fresh fruit within walking distance at 8.45pm, then MR is the place to go. If you're tactical about your shopping, you might even be able to land some deals.
