About Maple Leaf Metals

About Us

Since 1978, Maple Leaf Metals has been servicing Edmonton’s metal recycling needs. Today we have grown to receiving scrap metal from all over Northern Alberta, Northern British Columbia, and Northern Saskatchewan. In order to better serve our client’s needs, in 2014 we opened the doors of our second yard in Fort McKay, which is approximately 54 km north of Fort McMurray. Maple Leaf Metals is part of a larger supply chain that includes the only steel mill in Alberta, AltaSteel. Scrap steel that is brought into Maple Leaf Metals is processed and shipped to AltaSteel to be melted down, refined, cast, and hot rolled into a wide array of products sold locally and internationally. Maple Leaf Metals is proud to serve our local community in responsibly recycling metal scrap to be re-purposed with our sister and partner companies to create products for use back into the community.

Good place to take any of your scrap steel and as far as I know, their prices are fair. Never in this place for more than 20 min max with small amounts. Friendly staff and pretty easy system to understand when you're in there.

Great place for dropping off scrap metal and old batteries. My golf cart goes through batteries faster than a liberal can tell a lie. So it’s great to recoup a little cash by recycling them here.

This company accepts stolen material. Shame on them for allowing these crooks to continue stealing material from honest businesses and allowing them to come here to sell it off as their own! Do not use this company! Shame on you Maple Leaf!

I’ve just spent the first couple hours of my morning calling around to all the scrap metal places in town and Maple leaf is the best in the fairest pricing. A lot of people I know highly recommend Mapleleaf scrap medals and I can see why now

There are better scrap dealers than this place, the prices they are paying are on the low side. They are only trying to profit as much as possible off you instead of treating clients fairly. How can clean aluminum garner the same price as dirty??? The fact that they called me a peddler on my receipt is yet another insult. I dont regularly bring in scrap metal and haven't done so in years. A customer, a client or anything else would be better than peddler. Why don't they just say panhandler, has the same ring to it.?
