Absolute garbage. They are useless. They don't let you claim anything and they withhold information. I've never had to deal with such a moronic company.

I wish I never signed with Manulife financial, they don’t cover for anything, even basic claims for the most stupid reasons. It looks like they are more focused on finding ways not to cover for ANY claim, even for basic services. My jaw’s dropped to the floor and do not recommend this company what so ever. Worst experience ever. Even 1 star is too much.

Don't even bother upgrading your dental plan past basic coverage unless you have a family. Gives your orthodontics ONLY for dependent children. They don't really tell you about it either. Got to find it on their site yourself. Asked to change my plan to basic 3 days after the cut off (since I had to deal with my dental stuff). Said no (obviously because they make money for this). Only upgraded to silver for the ortho. Stuck with this extra cost for 2 years.

Worst customer experience trying to purchase CoverMe critical illness insurance. If I could give Manulife a lower rating, I would. A bureaucratic nightmare trying to find out the status of my application via phone and email. Is this level of service what a claimant should expect? I have to assume so. Go elsewhere for your insurance products.

If you can, avoid this company. Waiting on document since February, escalated to to a supervisor, still didn't get what was needed. This company has no idea what they are doing. They didn't even spell the name right. And when asked about it they said send in another request. Guess what got the exact same paper again. Avoid at all costs. Also for some reason this company doesn't believe in email. So you have to wait 10 days to get what you need. 10 days later you get exactly what you DONT need. February to May and still don't have what was requested or needed. It's so pathetic how many calls and how long this is taking. Seriously do yourself a favour and do not choose this company for your investment needs.

I am a retiree holding a RRIF account with Manulife. I used to deal with this office all the time. Recently I wanted to make changes to my investment. So I contacted this office in Calgary but they told me that no one will be able to help me in their office. They gave me the 1800 numbers in Ontario to call. I have tried several times and each time they put me on hold 45 minutes to an hour. Finally I got connected to a representative and he said that he was not the right person to talk to so he transferred me to another person. Then I was on hold again for another 55 minutes. A girl took my call and she said that I need to sign in to my Manulife account and do it online. I told her that I have tried 3 times. But the system did not activate the change. She then told me that she will arrange someone to call back and help me out. After several days, no call back from Manulife. I logged in my Manulife account and used "Contact Us" to email them my problems. Still no reply after 2 days... It's frustrating. My advice for those who wants to invest in Manulife..."Please DON"T do it." It will be your biggest mistake in your life if you do. Wish I could only give Manulife a half star.
