About Manmeet Singh Park

The first park of its kind in western Canada, Calgary’s Flyover Park has reclaimed the forgotten space under the 4th avenue overpass between the new Calgary Entertainment District and one of Calgary's oldest neighbourhoods, Bridgeland-Riverside, creating a vibrant community hub where residents, commuters, and visitors can enjoy an active lifestyle and environmental learning year-round. Designed in collaboration with Grade 6 students, University of Calgary Landscape Architecture Students and Stantec the park includes tiered seating, unique play features and artistic features to beautify the space

Flyover Park combines the core elements of collaboration, creativity, innovative urban design and community engagement. It is a vital, vibrant and accessible gathering place that is quickly becoming a welcomed member of Calgary’s impressive roster of parks and public destinations.

In addition to creating a beautiful urban space, the park has environmental benefits. Upgrades to the space and the flyover infrastructure divert run-off from the flyover’s roadway to the park’s rain gardens and bioswale prior to entering the Bow River. This allows the run-off from the flyover to be filtered, reducing the amount of silt, harsh salts, and other substances from reaching the city’s river basin.

Walk way is good but park across is not maintained. Sad they don't even cut grass. Its a beautiful place if they maintain.

City need to take care of grass and park, or the person who is responsible for parks. Very nice park for jogging but grass mosquito is too much.

The park is large with dog park placed separately, different types of trees including separate cycling roads.

Love this place, although the city cheaped out on trees. This place has SO much room for more greenery and tree plantation for generations to see. Wish it could grow more.

We booked the community fire pit for our small group, and the City changed what was included so we were scrambling to find materials. On arrival the fire pit looked brand new but was also on an unprepared space. Everything was secured down, but no gravel beneath it quickly led to a grass fire as our fire within heated up the earth below. Thankfully we are experienced campers and had lots of water. The park itself seemed well-maintained. Vegetation was trimmed and nearby ball diamond clean. Two HUGE picnic tables were unvandalized and tidy as well.
