We traveled from Saskatoon and came upon this falls due to construction on Route 40. We were on our way to St. John’s, Newfoundland and were taking a side trip to La Mauricie National Park north of Trois Rivieres. Stopping at a rest area to the west of Louiseville, we bought a postcard showing these falls. We didn’t know how nearby they were but having been advised to exit at Louiseville due to construction between there and Trois Rivieres we detoured north from Louiseville on the way to La Mauricie. We soon came to a sign pointing to St.-Ursula. Wasn’t that the name of the falls on the postcard ? Well we decided to explore and inquired in town to the location of the falls. We soon found ourselves at the visitor centre and unlike one comment I saw about the rude guy behind the counter, we were met by a French speaking woman who very much went out of her way to help us, finding an English language map and guide and apologizing for not being able to communicate better in English. It was us that were visiting her β€œhome” and we did feel bad about our lack of French. There more than anywhere, but throughout Quebec with a week of exploring we found the people to be very nice, very helpful and very accommodating. We would not hesitate to visit again although we would want to have a better understanding of the language out of respect for the French speaking majority. The waterfalls were spectacular as they plunged down the gorge. The trails were very well maintained. The hosts were exemplary. There is a trail on either side of the gorge so you can cross over and hike back on the other side. We saw many beautiful sites on a 5 week round trip drive from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to St. John’s, Newfoundland but St-Ursule stands out in our minds for many reasons. I would not only recommend this spot, I would urge you not to miss it if you will be in the area. 5 stars for sure !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing park with interesting paths with various sceneries, wonderful panoramas and mesmerizing views of the powerful currents. A surprising amount of surprises considering the smaller length of the paths!

If you have Tuango tickets , they don’t accept the the code on your mobile phone ! You need it printed ! There is no internet , they have very backward ways of working conditions , they want to help but not allowed ?! Not helpful ! Their system not from this century but a beautiful place ! So go ready with papers or just buy it there ! And Tuango online shopping not a good idea ! Very easy hiking ! But don’t put perfume ! And have running shoes on. You can be picnicking , you can s’il your feet in the fresh water , but no swimming allowed !

Super affordable and cool hike. Bring your repellant (lots of it), wear pants and long sleeves and be ready to put your feet into the water. Short hikes (1km and 3km), ideal for beginners and with wooden stairs. Highly recommend for a sunny Sunday! Free parking and lots of tables for your picnic

This is a must see. I brought my family for a little hike and pique-nique and we enjoyed. Breath taking views and very clean area as well. Pet friendly if on a leash.

Short but beautiful hike. There is a small playground at the start of the trail. Lots of picnic tables around. Very clean bathroom. Very small beach at the end where you can dip your feet in.

Beautiful area to discover. Picnic tables are available at multiple spots, pack a lunch and enjoy the spectacular views. Small fee to enter for adults, children six and under enter for free. Free parking at the entrance. Some steep staircases in some places, wear comfortable footwear if you decide to hike all the way down. I recommend a visit in the fall time to enjoy the beautiful colors.
