Our History
Our story begins with two men and a truck and dedication to their customers. Geoff Cole and Todd Munro founded Cole-Munro in 1994. Patience over time and a belief in providing local families quality trout led us here—to become a nationally respected, yet still family-run, rainbow trout producer.
From humble beginnings in Port Stanley, the Cole family has grown the business to include family farms on Manitoulin Island and Georgian Bay with our head office and processing facility in St. Thomas. Currently, we’re the only company in the province focused solely on trout. When you purchase our products, you support local farmers employed by a local business. Now we take pride in providing 80% of Canada’s rainbow trout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best little store around for fresh fish! I always feel like I am interrupting the ongoing work of cleaning and cutting fillets as they are placed on ice and then quickly sold away! Plus I also grab our pack of frozen trout fillets for the rest of the week. Go visit the store and check it out for yourself !!
