C	Caylee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ** EDIT: Do your self a favor and use Kindersley Transport if you can, their rates are much better, and customer service far exceeds Manitoulen. They just grossly overbilled me. When I called to dispute, they reduced it, but only to DOUBLE the price Kindersley quoted me. I asked for a better rate, she declined, and I told her I'd take my business elsewhere, which she didn't seem to care about. If you have to use them, get a quote first, otherwise you're going to get an awful rate, and check their fuel surcharge--theirs is currently more than double Kindersleys. Pretty hit or miss with Manitoulin, their customer service is pretty good, rates are competitive in some areas of the country. Not overly flexible when it comes to billing, some of the customer service agents can be a little grouchy. I use them a few times a month for 500-1000# skids. Their online shipping system is about the best I've tried, so I continue to use them.

We were pleased to speak with her and appreciate her help. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We are extremely displeased with the way Manitoulin handles and justifies their freight charges. We shipped a 8x6x4 box weighing less than 1lb which costing $775 in freight. This has been an ongoing issue with every transaction we have had with Manitoulin. Rates are extremely high, unwilling to negotiate or resolve rate issues. We do not recommend using Manitoulin.

I was told if you call for a rate quote it would be cheaper than just showing up with a shipment or calling for pick up. This is not true. I gave them every detail on the pick up and delivery addresses and the quote included things like residential pick up and delivery. Actual cost on one shipment was almost double. When I questioned the overage I was told it would be reduced, and two people told me the charge would be reversed and a new charge applied. This was completely untrue. Second shipment was considerably higher than quoted. They lost two of my pieces on the first shipment and only found them when I repeatedly contacted them to track them down. As a result we lost a full day's use of the equipment. I will never use them again unfortunately. Again everyone I spoke to was super polite, but completely unhelpful. Once they have your money, they are not letting go of it. Too bad.
