Manitoulin Inn

I didn't stay here but I'm absolutely shaken and shocked by the service here. I called earlier to find out if there was a room and the price and the gentleman I spoke to was nice and told me a price for the room. I told him I'll call back in 10 minutes, but spent a good 40 minutes trying to get a hold of them again (apparently there was something wrong with their lines). When I finally got a hold of someone, this second man has zero customer service, should never be allowed to answer the phones or speak to customers. I asked him if the room is still available, he said yes, I wanted to reconfirm the price, puts me on a 10 second hold to ask 'the other guy', comes back and the price is now 25$ hire. I told him the original price I was quoted an hour ago and he tells me "you should have booked then, why didn't you book at that time, this is the price now" :|. I asked him to reconfirm with 'the other guy' and he said, no he's busy, this is the price, call back later. Well I told him that if I call back in an hour, it will then be $50 more expensive. This man essentially laughed, told me again that I should have just booked earlier, wouldn't give me his name when asked, and then just hung up on me. This whole time, I kept my composure and was professional. I called back and he just kept yelling. I called back the third time and the owner, and original person picked up, - he was still nice, but essentially was kind of awkward by the situation, giggled it off and told me, "if you stay here, you'll see him, I don't want any controversy, its best that you look elsewhere." I appreciate that the owner understand that he's hired a terrible employee (or maybe its a family member that helps), but it also sucks that he can't trust these people around his guests. Absolutely terrible experience.

Wow. This is the cleanest property I have ever stayed at. Attention to detail inside and out is amazing. This motel is so quaint and clean I will totally be back. Everything is in its place. The exterior is perfectly manicured and the rooms are super clean.

Really clean, friendly staff. Fridge was large for a min fridge which was nice, no freezer though. Coffee maker dated. BEST SHOWER EVER! Great pressure, tons of got water, very clean tub (clean enough for a bath). Bed was generally comfortable and well made (you can tell whoever manages or cleans knows hotels) but obviously cheaper or worn out mattress because the sides sag so of you get too close you slip off. Right off the hwy I thought I would hear more traffic but I didn't, nor did I hear any neighboring rooms(could be because no one was loud...? But they were fully booked). I would for sure stay here again!!!

Never book with these fraud guys, I made an reservation thru Priceline app, i searched Tobermory and this was the first recommendation i was on the way so i booked immediately just after making reservation i checked address its 7hrs away, so i just called the App first, they said talk to the property, i was not even charged the time i called them they said we'll get back to you soon, once they past the checkout time they said your request is declined, I understand they can charge some cancellation fees but they charged $186, the customer service is rude as hell never seen this kinda service ever before worst experience i wish i could give them 0 star, That's not how business runs, this kinda money won't go long. WISH YOU GUYS BAD LUCK AND MAY SITUATION OCCUR YOU PAY TRIPLE PRICE.

For an inn we were surprised it was very clean, new/mantained items, good water pressure and new shower head made all the difference. Provided small shampoo and soap, might need more if more than one person or long hair. Or bring own. Only request was brighter lighting as only ones for room were two bedside lamps. Has ac, had tv with movie box, mini fridge for use, mocriwave, eveb coffee maler woth cooffee tea sugar sweetner coffee whitner, clean white sheets, blankets, many towels more than one night would require. Thanks for being better than average ! Made the long trip ease with a good night sleep!

We had a wonderful stay here. Calm and serene location. Standard room includes 2 queen beds, fridge, kitchenette, microwave, coffee maker, small fridge, hairdryer, clothes rack and a decent size yet clean washroom. Free parking. The owner also gave us an extra hour for checkout without charging us. Location is great...10 min to Bridal Veil Falls, Kagawong lighthouse, Old House Heritage Centre, Foodland, etc. Cup and Saucer Nature Reserve is about 30 min away. Tim Hortons about 25 min away! Definitely, would recommend this place to everyone!! We'll come back again!!

My sister and I went up for a memorial for our Aunt. First time booking here as we usually stay with relatives. We found the room to be generous and clean. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Very quiet. We will definitely be going back. Thanks

The Inn is owned and operated by a family and you can see the care they have for the business and the guests that stay there. The rooms are so clean and well taken care of. They are so friendly and offer so much information on the island - where to go, what you can do and best times to visit. The Inn is in a great location and not far from any of their suggestions on the beautiful spots to visit during your stay. Highly recommend.
