About Manitoba Association of Childbirth and Family Education (MACFE)5508
MACFE is a non-profit, volunteer organization that was founded by caring parents in 1982. We are the oldest childbirth education organization in Winnipeg. We are dedicated to helping families before, during and after the birth of a child. We provide education on the options in childbirth to promote informed choice in addition to support a woman’s right to choose her caregiver.
All of our programs respond and focus on the individual needs expressed by the consumers and to reflect our motto:
“Educating, Supporting, Empowering.
For birth and beyond.”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had amazing experience with doula Susie Penner who held our prenatal classes and was our doula during the birth of our little daughter. All the info given at the classes was very helpful in preparation to meet our baby. Susie's advice and all the techniques she knows are so great before and during labour, they really help to deal with pain and emotions. She helped me to go through all the labour without any pain medications. She has supported me and my husband all along the way. She creates secure safe environment for you and makes sure you feel as comfortable as it is possible. Her mother's love projected on you during such a special time is priceless! We really appreciate your help Susie and you being with us was really special.
