This is the second big job that we have contracted MAK Mechanical to do for us. Their workmanship is exemplary. Even the electrician who came in afterwards to do some finishing work commented on the quality of the installation. Their prices are fair. They show up when they say they're going to. They are our mechanical contractor of choice and I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Courteous and thoughtful service yesterday provided by Al and Phil. Thank you for making the drive north and setting up the new system at the cottage, just in time for the long weekend heat! MAK services my home and office building and always provide quick service when required. Installed or repair has always been hassle free. Thank you MAK for your continued good service.

Just wanted to share my experience so buyers beware. I had them install my air source heat pump. They assured me it was fully warrantied. Then during installation they said they need a part for the humidifier unit and would be back. 2 months later I had to call to follow up and left messages, with no return phone call. Finally I threatened to contact better business bureau and they contacted me to install missing piece. The unit worked great for 2 years until it suddenly stopped working. I had them come out and take a look at it and the tech found a mouse nest. The mice had chewed through the thermistor. I asked how the mouse would have gotten in and the tech told me it came in through the hole where the hoses entered. He said he put some sealant there so it would prevent them from getting in in the future. I asked the tech if that would be covered and he said that the office does the billing. After he left I looked up in the installation manual and indeed it should have been sealed on installation and it was not. A few weeks went by and I got a $380 bill in the mail. I called to dispute it and was told that the person responsible was only there certain days of the week. I left a message and didn’t get a call back. I gave it a few weeks and then called again. I got the same story. I told them I already left a message and haven’t gotten a call back. They assured me they would follow up. A few weeks went by and I called back again. I got the same story. I advised them of the issue and they said they would follow up. Then nothing, until I got a bill months later saying it was past due. I decided this time email so I would have a paper trail. I looked up the email address online and sent an email. After messaging back and forth they told me there is nothing they could do and it was not under warranty. They responded with, β€œUnfortunately, the owner is not willing to offer any discount as rodent damage is not covered and feels it is not failure of workmanship. If this may have been disputed in June of last year, they may have been a better discussion. At this moment I am unable to offer any compensation.” I am so displease with the professionalism and accountability on behalf of this company. I absolutely loved the product and encourage anyone wanting one to seek out other companies to complete the work.

Furnace stopped working in the middle of the night. Called Mak first thing in the morning. They had a great service person here within an hour. Searched until they found the part we needed and had us up and running very quickly. Thanks for your work!

After dealing with more than one so called professional companies in the area (one of which bordered on utter incompetence and total lack of care of duty to the customers in my opinion), I finally found a company that fully deserved to be praised at all levels. First and foremost they are truly professionals who know their trade. I would easily give them 10 STARS. They doggedly addressed the issue and did not give up. They found what others failed to find and they fixed the problem properly and with confidence. I was immensely impressed how, once they saw the issue, they organized and attacked the problem on such short notice. The company who originally did the work it turns out were utterly incompetent. After several attempts with other local companies I almost gave up at finding a company that knew what they were doing. I finally found them with MAK Mechanical. I HIGHLY recommend them to all. Forget all the rest in the area. Don't waste your time or money with others. Don't go through the stress and disappointment that we did with others in the area. I am so looking forward to working with MAK on my future projects and will recommend them to all my contacts without reservation. Thanks to all the team members who brought their high level of skill, professionalism, and courtesy to resolving our problem.
