About Mahogany Learning Centre
Mahogany Learning Centre, a licensed and accredited daycare, offers daycare, preschool and after school care in Calgary. We embrace our city’s diverse cultural mosaic, giving children aged 2 months to 12 years a place to learn and grow in a welcoming, multicultural environment. Our philosophy centres on the “whole child.” We believe in catering to all of a child’s needs—physical health, emotional wellbeing, imagination and more—and fostering learning through play. Children learn best when they interact directly with their environment, becoming actively involved in their learning through challenging and engaging activities. We aim to provide excitement by catering to children’s unique interests and experiences.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly and caring staff who always greet you with a big smile. The center is always a very clean, safe, fun and organized place for children and all my interactions with the Owner of the Center and the Manager have always been positive and pleasant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter has come home with sunburns because the staff there does not help the children put on sun screen or re-apply, they sent the kids outside to play when there was an air quality advisory, my daughter missed her second day of kindergarten because they didn't take her like the told me they were going to. They make parents supply car seats to put in the centres van that transports the kids. They do not communicate with parents via email, when you pick your child up if their main teacher isn't there you get no information on how the day was, you get no pictures of your child through out the day.
Update** On the final day of Kindergarten they took my child for the wrong time, I got a call from the school telling me my child was absent, so I had to rush from work to pick her up and take her, when I dropped her off the school told me that MLS has a reputation for screwing up pick up or drop off times. Then later that day I learned they also forgot 3 different children on a CBE buss that then returned those kids to the school, and when confronted by those parents they took zero ownership and blamed it on the CBE bus driver. Apparently your $1000/ month doesn't pay them to pay attention to which kids goes to what school or at what time.
If you have an option. Go elsewhere, anywhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for a childcare centre that will treat your child like family, look no further. The team and center director focus on safety, cleanliness, organized activity, and fun. My son loves going there and I know he is in great hands. I'm so grateful for the caring staff and wonderful environment for the children.

My son is currently transitioning into potty training and the staff have made it an easy process for us to go through. As a young parent I was really worried about this processes, but the staff are really great and have been super supportive. They use an app to have open communication and it allows us to bring in the necessary things and receive daily reports. Thank you so much Ms. Remy and the staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter started at Mahogany Learning Centre in January and I have to say what a WONDERFUL DAYCARE this centre is. I'm so pleased with the director (Miss.Remy) and all the staff (especially in the baby room). I was feeling very anxious about leaving my daughter and going back to work, but from day one everyone was so helpful and kind and calm and experienced that my mind was instantly put at ease. I did a slow transition over 3 weeks to full-time daycare and was able to spend quite a few hours in the baby room with the staff and kids. Every staff member was so great and friendly and confident in caring for my daughter and every child in there. I'm mostly pleased with how each staff member remains calm even when some children were upset or missing their parents. They provide great feedback to me each day and I know we picked the right daycare. I'm impressed with the open communication, feedback, care, hours, location, etc. Thank you for making this huge step such a pleasant one and helping me enjoy my days at work without worrying.
