★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really wanted to try some Indian food as we haven't tried any since we got to Montreal (over a week now). We ordered the chicken biryani and the beef vindaloo. So the biryani was not really a biryani but more like a spicy tava pulav but it was sooo good. it had Bell peppers but few pieces of chicken like maybe 3 pieces and that too a bit broken. The quantity was really less. The box wasn't full. Like maybe in between half the box and 3/4th of the box. The beef vindaloo didn't taste like an authentic vindaloo taste. It needed more spice and sourness.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mediocre food in a city full of great East Indian restaurants. I was staying nearby so thought I would give it a try. The butter chicken tasted like it had been made with condensed/can milk rather than real cream. I have not had that experience before and didn't enjoy it. Yes, the prices were average and less than some EI places but, for me, not worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Palais Maharaja Palace has to be the best Indian restaurant near downtown Montreal! If you’re looking for authentic Indian food, this is your place! The ambience was really nice and the food selection was amazing! Best chaat papdi I ever had! It’s a must try! So much variety and food was delicious! The service was excellent! I will definitely be returning! Thanks Maharaja Palace!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had the vegetarian thali for dinner and every part of the dish was amazing. If you have it for lunch it’s cheaper but I still enjoyed the food for the price. Thank you
