Madeira Park Ocean Villa 信心海釣—陽光鹿港

I stayed here with my friends and it was such an amazing place. The owners were super friendly, everything was spacious, comfortable, clean and well decorated. The view to the lake is awesome, with a hot tub and garden area. I would highly recommend checking this place out for a nice vacation getaway!

I have used/read google reviews for years and have benefitted so much from them, but have never left a written review on Google. However, I feel a need to leave a review, to share our recent 2-nights experience at this place (which was dramatically different from the other reviews I read and I feel the need to contribute a balanced review.) These are some of the more serious problems we had encountered over our stay - The bed sheets were dirty/ and have not been washed. It looks like someone has slept in that bedsheet for a week or more. For $300 a night, one would expect, at the least, clean bed sheets. - Most of the rooms are very run down. - Bedroom window curtains are made of 4 dirty, tattered pieces of clothes. After trying to close these, they cover only 60% of the windows. - The coffee they give us has long expired (as dated on the containers.) - The AC vents are almost completely covered in thick layers of clouds of dust. - Both of the outdoor BBQs are super dirty and have not been cleaned for so long. If you need to use them, you would need to clean them yourself. After your cleaning, you will not be able to start them as you’ll soon see 2 very dirty, empty propane tanks completely covered in aged BBQ sauce. - The villa kitchen oven is super dirty; it has not been cleaned for a long time. - The villa cooktop is functional, but it took us 20-30mins just to boil some hot water before boiling some spaghetti. - The villa kitchen fridge door is broken and it’s a big power-lift every time you pry it open. - If you charter/hire the fishing boat (for $3,000) as we did, you will be very disappointed as we had lost almost all the crabs and shrimps from the 2 preset traps. - Please make improvements on the above points. In honest conclusion, before these problems are improved, I would only give 1-star to this place solely on a courtesy basis.

Enjoyed my stay here with my family. The location was good and the owners are very friendly and pleasant, Beds and linens were clean and comfortable. We had so much fun fishing !

My friends and I stayed here for a couple nights for a fishing trip. We enjoyed the wild, beautiful BC coast with all the modern amenities. Simon, who was one of our hosts, is a very knowledgeable fisherman! We came away with rockfish, shrimp, and crabs, which the hosts helped us cook and prepare for dinner. I definitely recommend this spot if you want to experience fishing in BC and/or want a relaxing getaway.

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend fishing trip and had a wonderful time. It is truly a beautiful, unique and inclusive property! The property itself is large with spacious bedrooms and overall, we found the indoor and outdoor environment to be very well kept and clean. The villa kitchen was equipped with various appliances and tools, useful for cooking all our fished meals. Clean linens, towels and toiletries were available which made packing lighter possible. Although large, the property is very cozy and inviting. There were no issues with privacy with neighbouring properties. The most memorable part of our stay is the stunning water view. A bonus were the many seastars visible in the clear waters and by the dock.

Lovely place to stay with family. Place is clean and well taken care of. Can accommodate big groups if renting the separate cabins aside from the main house which only has beds for 12 people. They also do boat tours for Sunshine Coast views and fishing. Host is very kind and there is a caretaker that lives on the property, his name is Andrew, he’s always smiling. I got to stay at this beautiful villa during Vancouver’s forest fire smoke show and Sunshine Coast proved to be the perfect oasis away from it all. It was blue skies and perfect weather with the stunning property making it even better. Some highlights of the stay: -Clean and comfortable bed sheets, pillowcases, etc. -Rooms with a quaint cottage aesthetic, just as the pictures showed, which made for a cozy homey experience. -Great WIFI service -Fully equipped kitchen -Many activities offered with all the safety equipment such as kayaks, ping pong table, tennis court, basketball hoop etc. -The fishing charter was a highlight as well! Having been here 2 years ago, the experience was always a delight, no matter the outcome of the catch. The experienced captain and crew made it a trip worth returning for every year. Thank you to Michelle and the hospitality team for a wonderful experience!

Very good place to go on vacation owner Michelle and Simon are really nice folks. Right by water has bbq hot tub fishing area fire pit lots of things to do around and beautiful view from the rooms. Rooms are spacious and clean. They maintain this place all the time kept nice and clean!! Great place to go all year round!!
