About Made You Smile Orthodontics
On the Professional Side:
Dr Yu is a member of the Fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.(C)), the Canadian Association of Orthodontics (CAO), the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and the Alberta Society of Orthodontics (ASO). She also facilitates training at the University of Alberta pre-doctoral dentistry program as a part-time clinical instructor.
On the Personal Side:
In her spare time, Dr.Yu enjoys all things sports. An avid Oilers fan, Dr. Yu takes any opportunity she has to catch the games on TV or in person. She also plays badminton competitively and is heavily involved in local rugby. Dr. Yu volunteers her time as the women’s director for the Nor’Wester Athletic Association and is the badminton committee chair at the Royal Glenora Club. Dr. Yu’s passions are her patients, family and sports. Her love of each shines through in the work she does.

I am getting braces as an adult (for the second time in my life) and after going to several orthodontic offices I chose Made You Smile because overall it was the best choice for me. Not only did the price quote come in attractively lower, and the staff was excellent but I was also impressed with her level of professionalism and expertise. Dr. Yu explained everything in a way that I could understand and made the experience comfortable.
I was also looking for an orthodontist that has had more recent training in the latest methods in orthodontics, instead of an old fashioned orthodontist who went to school decades ago. I talked with Dr. Yu about her education and I even looked up Boston University and University of Pennsylvania and discovered that Dr. Yu was educated in the top schools for orthodontics. I was impressed and made my decision. I have my braces on my teeth now and am seeing the progress as they get straighter. Very exciting!
