★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large neighbourhood park with a new looking playground and water park. There is a cool looking water fountain and washrooms. There is also a large field. There is a good cafe and grocery store on the north side of the park.
Surrounded by colourful houses and filled with the laughter of kids at the spray park or playground, MacLean reflects the sense of the surrounding community. The sweetgum trees lining the park put on a beautiful display in autumn.
This park replaced the original MacLean Park which was located three blocks further west than its present locale at Georgia and Keefer Streets. It was named after the first Mayor of Vancouver, M. A. MacLean and was the first park to have a supervised playground in 1911.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so glad that there is other options for rides other than the taxi company's in Vancouver,. There is nothing more frustrating then trying to get a cab just to have the driver drive right on past you. I seriously how that Uber and other ride sharing company's put the taxi drivers out of business

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ MacLean park is full of community and smiles for everyone. It can be a little judgey at first as the community in Strathcona can be very white, middle class and clique-ish, almost exclusive. There are alot of kids and dog owners and folks if all ages and genders. Sometimes it can get sketchy walking through at night, so I don't. Not just because of the areas proximity to the Downtown Eastside core, but there are coyotes in the park as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Community park. During Covid, it hosted many musical acts through the 2020 summer and fall.
Water park was active throughout the summer, washrooms were open, and there's a café nearby that has delicious sandwiches and specialty coffees and teas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice park to hang out with family and friends. Even though it is small, it has a relaxing feel. The other great thing about this park is the availability of a public washroom.

It's a nice neighborhood, clean park, safe park. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smallish park area with lots going on. Theres Children's play area, courts, grassy field on the small side, leafy trees edging the park, bathrooms that are in good shape for their age, some oddly soaved benches and sitting spots as well as weirdly kinda winding pathways in a corner of the park. A single basketball hoop even snuck into the play zone. People enjoy the place .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dog loves this park. Kids seem to love this park. Generally pretty clean. There is a playground feature that's all roped off for some reason, they should figure that out. Besides that, it's a decent place for kids to frolic in the water features.
