★ ★ ★ ★ ★ He is a no nonsense Dr. But great at what he does. He is one of the foremost specialists in Migraines and has helped me immensely. He is a very busy dr. And has strict rules about Confirming appointments(most specialists do) so make sure you confirm or your time will be cancelled and given away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst display of any sort of business I’ve ever seen, absolutely ridiculous...first I took of an entire day for this place for an appointment I’ve been waiting 3 months for and they rescheduled my appointment by sending a letter to my house the day of the appointment, how is anyone suppose to work there schedule to that....gave them a second chance, took another day off work to show up to appointment a month later and they have a sign on the door saying we’re sorry we had to close due to uncontrolled illness, sorry for not calling to reschedule. Rather just live with my headaches then give these guys another chance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ever since my sleepwalking as a child and adult fade-aways, people would always tell me to get more sleep when I knew it wasn't just fatigue. On the day I was on my way to the doctor's to tell him that I knew more than just fatigue was at work here, I faded away and caused an auto accident. One moment I was listening to the news and the next, I was waking up in the middle of an auto accident. When they discovered that I had lateral epilepsy, I was sent to Dr. Mackie. He is a no-nonsense but compassionate epilepsy specialist who unlocked the mystery of my black-out's I had suffered since childhood. I have the highest respect and regard for him because he has given me a normal and fulfilling life and I love his quirky and dry sense of humour. More importantly, I don't think anyone is more well-versed and as compassionate as Dr. Mackie! I give him 5 stars out of 5 stars! Judy Emily Williams

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guys a joke. Office is across the street from WorkSafe. Likely his best client. Have migraines after a bad neck injury. He told me neck injuries don't cause headaches. Guess all the post concussion doctor's are wrong. He blamed the mild opiates remedy I've had to take since the accident. Went off the remedy and switched to CBD. Still getting headaches. Must be psychosomatic. Wouldn't have anything to the fusion happening due to degeneration after the accident. Shill for government criminality!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking in and being greeted by a cranky receptionist is always a great first step... Dr. Mackie is great at rushing patients in and out in 5 minutes, meanwhile I've been waiting 2 months to hear back for my results from an MRI and ECG. My recommendation? Find somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This “Dr” completely wasted my time. He made me go through several prescriptions that made me feel ill and forced me to continue taking them when they were making me feel worse. Then I had to twist his arm to set up Botox injections as a treatment and by then had lost my benefits and couldn’t afford to try it as a treatment.
He’s rude, and completely lacks empathy.
If you have migraines go see Dr Wong in Vancouver

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Mackie let me know his views on abortion Which i thought extremely unprofessional. He misdiagnosed me due to not listening to me and what was actually going on with my body. Since I didn’t fill out his archaic calendar of pain he would not delve any further. He said I was just prone to headaches after my Motor vehicle accident. i disagreed and pushed for an mri from my family doctor. They found forminal stenosis and due to injury of car accident brought on early facet degenerative change. That’s why I have headaches. I felt he shut me down and cut me off and I did not feel like he gave me a level of care that someone should as a doctor. The second star was because he did go thoroughly thru a general examination.

Dr. MacKie had a very pleasant demeanor. He listened well to all my details without rushing me, taking many notes. His questions were very probing reflecting knowledge in the field and the examination was thorough and well organized. The diagnosis was explained to me in a very understandable and meaningful way. His recommendations in the end were clear and made sense. I highly recommend his service.
