Sam Cowan and Tara Berger were amazing to deal with. Very clear and concise with steps for our purchase and sale and communication was prompt and easy to understand. They handled everything perfectly and accommodated our busy schedule. 100% will refer and use again if and when needed! Thanks Sam and Tara!

We used McKay Law in past to purchase a home prior to their being taken over by Diamond & Diamond, and that experience was a full 5 stars with zero issues - which is why we went back to them a second time. This time around with our new home purchase, our experience was also good, but I removed a couple of stars for two reasons. 1.) A significant and totally avoidable mix up occurred on our possession date. They provided the bank our mortgage funds were coming from with the wrong trust account. This put our possession day in jeopardy, and instead of owning their mistake, they called us and very frankly told us we'd have to pay extra interest to get our keys that day. No apology, no "we will fix our mistake" just "you need to pay $60 - $150 in interest if you want your keys today", and their explanation of why was very hard to understand for people not versed in real estate law. Possession day is extremely stressful for all involved, and we had movers on the way and a number of other things lined up for that day. It wasn't a large amount of interest to pay, but we were shocked at their lack of owning their mistake and that they didn't offer to cover the interest considering it was their mistake and we had done nothing wrong. What's $60 when you're charging us $4,000 for a sale and a purchase? After a couple of phone calls, they begrudgingly agreed they would cover it. This was a major stress that was totally avoidable and unnecessary. To their credit, the issue was resolved later in the day and we were able to get our keys without any penalty. 2.) I found them a little tough to get a hold of. At times, email communication was slow, and I'd have to phone the office a few days later to follow-up. Usually the phone wasn't picked up and I'd have to leave a message. Also, the documents I sent that they asked for were left without confirmation of receipt, and some emailed questions went unanswered - in our first experience, they were always very responsive. I understand the real estate market is insanely busy right now, and I think some of this boils down to their offices being too busy. I will also add that Sam was very pleasant and organized at the signing appointment.

There was an absolutely pleasant experience to meet with Sam and get all the documents signed. Overall we had great experience with this firm. The only are for improvement would be - we negotiated a different price with our buyer and sen the supporting documents. However these was not reflected on the documents twice. Other then that I would definitely recommend this place!

I am very pleased with Sam and Danny from Diamond and Diamond Lawyers. I knew nothing about the process of selling my home except that it was stressful with lots going on. They were super organized. They had my appointment with them booked early to avoid any stress or possible hiccups that can sometimes happen (none did happen). When banks, mortgage companies, and other roles are involved in the process, it was nice having my meeting scheduled early before the closing date in order to avoid potential challenges. They let me know exactly what I needed to bring to the meeting beforehand which allowed me to feel prepared and stress free. They handled everything and kept me in the loop with what was going on. I didn’t even need to ask questions because they already informed of what I needed to know. I felt confident in them having the situation under control. I will be using them in the future 100%. I can’t say enough good things about them. Thank you Diamond and Diamond

If you are buying or selling a home and require a lawyer, and value professionalism, think long and hard before using this law firm! I am extremely unimpressed and dissatisfied by the "professionalism" of this law firm. Lets start with the emails you receive from the paralegals. I received an email on WEDNESDAY stating that I would receive an email by my appointment on Monday. As my appointment was at 330pm on Monday, and I had to leave STRAIGHT from work, I assumed I would get an email by Friday to ensure that I had all the necessary documents required of me to bring. I did not receive this email stating everything I needed to bring to my appointment until 815 in the morning! How does anyone expect someone to get these necessary documents with only 6 hours notice before your appointment? I figured the professional thing would have been to email me Friday so I had the weekend to get everything!! As I had been at work since 630am I did not have ANY of the documents they required of me, such as my passport or birth certificate, Im not sure of anyone who just carries these items on them on the daily. They also required I had home insurance prior to my appointment, I was fortunate enough to have been told this by my mortgage broker WEEKS prior to the law firm telling me. HOWEVER I was not able to finalize my home insurance till the Paralegal sent me the "First Payee" address which he did not send me until Monday morning! I also was required to bring a bank draft of the remaining funds for my down payment but again, I did not have the exact number till 815 in the morning, I would have appreciated knowing the number by Friday so I could've had a couple days to go to the bank and prepare this, but no I needed to scramble on my lunch break to get a bank draft completed! So during an extremely stressful process the paralegal assigned to my file made it even worse! Now lets talk about the LACK of professionalism at the firm its self. Walking into the office you are greeted by two friendly receptionists, however that's about as professional as they get. I understand enjoying your job and having fun while at work but being the face of a company you need to remember professional optics, especially when you have clients in your waiting room! I should not have to listen to Kendra (one of the receptionists) singing songs from the radio or listening to the viral videos from her computer. I also don't care to hear about her weekend or her asking questions to the male courier (who came to deliver a package) about the date he went on. My husband and I arrived to our appointment 15 minutes early, and in that time I saw our lawyers appointment before us leave the office at 320pm. So can anyone explain to me why my appointment that was scheduled for 330pm did not start until 350pm?! I understand that we are currently in unprecedented times and the real estate market is beyond busy, with that being said! If you can not professionally manage more clients do not take on more than you can handle!!! As a client I am paying this firm $1800 and getting budget law firm professionalism. The ONLY reason this law firm is getting 2 stars is because of our lawyer Loni.. She was late, but she was great DURING the appointment. She explained everything very thoroughly and was able to answer all of our questions and was kind and professional. Its sad that she is linked to this law firm because had she been at a more professional firm I would absolutely recommend her. But save your self the STRESS and take your money else where!

Sam & Tara were amazing to work with - extremely competent and very friendly. We changed the bank we went with for our mortgage at the very last minute (the night before) and they worked hard to ensure everything went smoothly and that we were able to keep our original signing appointment. As others have mentioned, communication was prompt and easy to understand with detailed emails to explain the process along the way. Would highly recommend!
